"Don't go overboard." Claude stepped out of the wolves' view.
Len smiled at his mate, and it was the only second he smiled. He then turned to the wolves and wore a look of detestation. His mouth opened, and a low, guttural sound came out. It was almost inaudible, but the wolves stopped and turned to him. Even Claude caught it.
The wolves then charged toward Len. Running away was not an option. Len was too proud to do that. He just stepped back to get out of the cameras' views. Every wolf that came went flying back to the Emergency Room's walls. Within seconds, twenty-odd infected wolves had been neutralized.
Len rolled his neck. He contained too much of his anger. If he had gone all out, he would have wolfed out and torn those wolves to pieces. Since humans were around, he tried not to be so foreign.
"We should leave now." Claude grabbed Len's hand and pulled him away from the scene. They didn't even wait for the guards to peek outside. After all, the noises stopped.
