Claude growled and glanced behind him. Len still wrestled with Irving. He then turned to the SWAT operatives. His growling tamed.
"If you know that much, then you should know that I can understand you." Claude chose to speak with the operatives, freezing them in their tracks. His voice still sounded distorted because he was in his wolf form. "You can also hear and understand me.
"We didn't arrive alone. A dozen of us are headed this way to pick up the injured." Claude lifted his chin as if talking down to them. "If you don't want to die, allow us to retreat without a fight. Otherwise, your family will cry for you. We won't even leave bones for them to bury."
