The next second, the Dark Storm summoned by Carlos and the Chain Lightning summoned by Mogiana collided head-on. Mogiana was exerting all her force to draw power from the Potion Chalice, but the spell of the Great Demon of Tzeentch was far too strong; the mana duel wouldn't produce a victor anytime soon.
The Fate Weaver knew its magic had no effect on Laine and resorted to outright physical combat. The Witchcraft Staff fiercely struck Laine's sword's edge; in a second, the Fate Weaver attacked five times simultaneously. Laine felt pressured to the point of breathlessness; the tremendous force from the Witchcraft Staff made his arms numb. For a moment, the battlefield echoed with the fury and clamor of desperate struggle, as the sword edge of the Goddess of Revenge flashed in flight and collided violently with the witchcraft staff full of eyeballs.
