Lorne sending Kaled to the Imperial Army Camp was not without reason. It was well known that Kaled had a good relationship with Laine, and Laine was openly in a relationship with the Duchess of Nuer, Emmanuelle, and was even the father of her child. Laine had also publicly acknowledged his paternal role, and having Kaled as the liaison was agreeable to the Nuer side as well.
Amidst the thunder of artillery fire and the volley of musket shots, Kaled returned with his men: "The camp over there has fallen! My Imperial brothers! We must break through!"
"How do we do it?" The Imperial General also knew they had to break out of the encirclement, and they shouted: "There are too many enemies!"
Kaled nodded grimly and glanced back, seeing the entire direction of the camp already swallowed by the Undead Army. Lorne and his knights were nowhere to be seen; perhaps they had fled or perished in battle.
