The interactions and negotiations between the undead are always filled with pain and deceit, as well as cunning. Normally, no Vampire Count or Undead Mage trusts anyone else; surviving and growing powerful amidst betrayal and lies is the survival rule of the undead.
Historically, betrayal and conspiracy between Undead Mages and Vampire Counts are as simple as eating or drinking. Every Undead Lord is an ambitious person, ready to abandon allies or break treaties at any moment. This group of untrustworthy people always keeps an eye on others' weaknesses, figuring out ways to capture their allies' power for themselves.
However, in the current situation, both the newly recovered Heinrich Kemler and the repeatedly unsuccessful Mathew Bade have keenly realized their need and reason to form an alliance.
