"Open fire!" Led by a company of veterans, the crossbowmen and musket soldiers fired at the gradually approaching Lizardman Warriors. The densely packed crossbow arrows and muskets took down the entire front row of Lizardman Warriors.
The effectiveness of the crossbows has diminished considerably. Unlike the Spirit Lizard soldiers, Lizardman Warriors have tough skin and carry shields. As long as they aren't struck in a vital spot, they won't fall. They rage with the anger of a primal creature, and many Lizardman Warriors, with a dozen feathered arrows embedded in them, continue their charge.
"Uwaaah!" The first Lizardman Warrior reached the human military formation and swung its wolf fang club, effortlessly knocking aside the points of several Long Spears. "Roar!!"
"Stab!" The Long Spear Soldiers backed up, gripping their spears with both hands, and with a fierce thrust, seven or eight Long Spears pierced the Lizardman Warrior.
