The vast land had a uniform layer of pure white snow blanketing it, occasionally, a few green leaf grass tips protruded.
Horn's town is located west of White Church town, at the boundary between Menon County and Wolfbridge County, and has always been a bustling commercial hub connecting the two counties.
However, following last year's massacres by vampires and disorderly soldiers, the population has dwindled to less than a third.
Even the remaining population is as thin as skeletons, peering from behind door panels with only half a shutter left.
Standing on the cobbled road, large collapsed houses, shattered debris, and frozen corpses laid on the roadside are visible.
Hanske occasionally passes by some frozen corpses, and he can't help but poke at them with his knife sheath to see if they are still alive.
