Crows are circling overhead, refusing to leave the corpse. They dive down aggressively now and then to snatch at the eyes on the dead face, their favorite part, and then they peck open the belly to pick at the still somewhat fresh intestines. Crows are not interested in meat; they only like that little bit of gut.
Yet, for some unknown reason, the crows appear anxious and scared around the man dragging the corpse, flocking above, making the city seem less beautiful.
There's a saying that wherever you see many crows, you'll also see the dead. The crows' eyes possess an otherworldly vision, seeing both sides of life and death, a symbol of bad luck. If you can avoid them, do so; if not, get as far away as possible.
