Leviathan thought for a moment and spoke with a hint of laughter in his voice.
"For love and peace."
Love and peace.
It was the same answer, a similar response Bologue had heard many times before. Hearing it again from Leviathan, he only found it absurd and laughable.
"Are you serious?"
Bologue asked again, a question he had asked many times before. Knowing the answer, Bologue still wanted to confirm it once more.
Leviathan waved his hand and said, "You know me, Bologue. I might play tricks and schemes, but I never lie."
Bologue's expression froze, then he laughed unrestrainedly. Leviathan paused for a moment, then joined in the laughter and snapped his fingers.
"It's time for you to leave."
The familiar feeling of detachment appeared again. Bologue could feel his consciousness peeling away, trying to resist but unable to fight back.
