"Honey, what banquet are you attending?" Ye Chen asked curiously.
He just overheard Su Wanyi talking on the phone with Elder Su and guessed it was related to this matter.
"Tonight is Grandpa's birthday banquet, and I actually forgot about such an important thing," Su Wanyi said with a pouty expression.
"Better late than never," Ye Chen said with a comforting smile.
Su Wanyi didn't say anything, just nodded.
"Honey, I think you should go alone, I'll just skip it," Ye Chen suggested to Su Wanyi.
He's never liked these kinds of events, feeling that the people are quite pretentious and dislike using them as a weapon.
"How can that be okay? Grandpa specifically mentioned to bring my boyfriend. If you don't go, should I find someone else?" Su Wanyi glared at Ye Chen and said.
"Of course not, if you dare take another man, you'd better watch out or I'll spank you," Ye Chen said, pretending to be angry.
"That's more like it," Su Wanyi nodded in satisfaction.
