Local time, 3:50 PM.
Entrance to the masquerade ball.
In about ten minutes, the event will start, and myriad of guests dressed in bizarre costumes are gathered at the entrance, each looking like a proud peacock.
Variety of vibrant colors.
Yan Xiaobei's Jedi costume and Betty's Ada Wang cosplay are nothing special. There are plenty of more extravagant outfits; a man dressed as a penguin casually walks past Yan Xiaobei while holding the hand of a girl in an Arctic bear costume, both with smiles as sweet as candy.
Even more amusing is a man in his forties dressed in a navy uniform, but without the lower half.
Such a chance to be so uninhibited is rare, besides today, no day could be so delightful.
Strange, shocked, unbelievable, unimaginable... these are the impressions the masquerade ball left on Yan Xiaobei.
"Betty, is that Betty?"
