Announcement — The Future of Theater of the Epigon
Alright, everyone, I've made a decision regarding the future of Theater of the Epigon.
Originally, this story was going to be Shadow Slave canon reaction to cannon. However, after thinking about it for a while, I've decided to take it in a different direction.
Thankfully, the first chapter I already published works perfectly well for this change, so nothing needs to be discarded or rewritten.
From now on, Theater of the Epigon will be an AU reacting to an AU of my fanfiction which I will write side by side.
I have a habit of wanting reaction chapters for basically every fanfiction I write. I simply find it incredibly fun to see characters confronted with a completely different version of their lives, choices, relationships, and futures in that Au.
So rather than using Theater of the Epigon to react entirely to canon, I'm going to let it become the reaction story for this altered timeline.
But don't worry.
For everyone who originally followed this story because you wanted a proper reaction to canon, I actually have something better.
I have officially been allowed to adopt Shadow Slave: The Cinema** by Jward.**
Yes.
The Cinema is coming back.
I'll be continuing the story from where it was left off rather than restarting everything from the beginning.
And, fittingly enough, we'll be picking things back up around the point where our favorite skeleton essentially decided:
So, going forward:
Theater of the Epigon — AU reacting to my AU.
Shadow Slave: The Cinema — the dedicated reaction to canon, continuing Jward's original story.
That way, I get to continue Theater of the Epigon without abandoning what I already published, while everyone who wanted canon reactions still gets an entire story dedicated to exactly that.
