[3rd POV]
As it turns out, the Enterprise had decided on coming back a few days later.
In those days, Wanda had not really gotten any new interesting customers, and was basically just running the shop as normal. However, she had begun to start an important new project.
The proper and full training of her daughter, Amity.
The girl was smart, and she was very talented, so she had started to learn her new training methods very fast. Far faster than even Milim and Naruto had, which was immensely impressive, and showed just how much potential she truly had.
This was only really in one primary area though. As beyond that area, her training was about the same as theirs (at least the ones that they didn't excel at). And that area was of course magic. With magic coming to her easily, and learning new spells had been a joke to her.
Harry Potter magic is the first that she has started to learn, and she had already worked through the entire first and second year curriculum. Both of these were very easy to learn though, as it mostly worked on developing things like the basics and stuff like that.
But Wanda also knew that she would likely work through the next five years just as fast, as they weren't particularly difficult. She was also planning on teaching her with a greater focus on the area that she was confident she would be interested in, and talented in. Transfiguration.
The art was right up her alley, and would (and should) be easy for her to learn. Combine that with her love for the abomination magic, and she would be able to mesh and combine them into something truly strong.
Wanda was confident that her daughter would be the tinkering, forging, and crafting type. Not the front line attacker and physical type like Naruto and Milim. She was going to be more calm and collected.
Not a battle maniac like her siblings.
Wanda had already brought up the idea of other arts to the girl. Mostly enchanting and runic craft. Both of which were going to be learned once she finished the basics for the Harry Potter spell casting. They also did have runes in their world, but it was supremely subpar, and honestly disappointing, not to mention weak.
It wasn't one of those fanfic worlds where the runes were overpowered and capable of doing pretty much anything you can ever think of. It had limited use, and reasonable use.
Wanda was going to start with that form of runic craft as a sort of "Basics" and then move onto the truly difficult ones, which are therefore far more powerful, and have a wide range of uses well beyond what the Harry Potter ones can do.
Besides runic craft, she planned on teaching her how to create wards, which is naturally connected to runic craft. As well as mathematics. Math was a huge part of all things related to runes and crafting them. Mostly because runes was technically a form of math.
A very mystical/magical form of math, one that is incredibly ancient and powerful, but still math. And combining a bunch of runes to create something or do something, was sort of like doing a complex mathematical equation.
Wanda knew that Amity would be good at that though, as she had that sort of talent. That and math was almost certainly a part of the natural course for Owl House, at least Hexside.
Math was a huge and important part of a lot of different areas. And in magical areas in general the use of math was monumentally important. She doubted that the witches of the Boiling Isles truly understood that fact though.
She would make sure that Amity does.
But now Wanda was sitting behind her counter, watching with an amused smile as the members of the Enterprise walked into the store. The main crew was walking in with a somewhat cautious step, as Wanda watched them.
"So, did you speak to your people in regards to my offer?" Wanda asked, propping her head up with her hand as she leaned against it. She watched them all still ever so slightly, wondering what their response would be.
She hoped it would be positive, since it would be a great addition to her store, and would have a ton of new knowledge that she had never seen before. And she was pretty glutinous when it came to new knowledge she had not collected yet.
"We have spoken with our...higher authority, and they have come to a decision. Your books and the knowledge found within has been proven true in every single account that we were able to put into practice so far. The rest had all signs pointing to them also being the truth and functioning. Thus, they have agreed to you or offer, Miss Maximoff" Picard responded, as he looked over to Data and gave him a nod.
The android walked forward and brought out a small device. It was a cube like item, but one look at it and Wanda could tell that it was a store device, for knowledge. Sort of like a flash drive but instead of holding like a terabyte of knowledge, it had the cumulative knowledge of the entire human race inside.
In terms of pure data she was not even going to think of how much space it would require. Well beyond the petabyte or whatever.
"This is the accumulation of all knowledge that the human race possesses, barring the classified knowledge, illegal knowledge, or information on the personal lives of currently living humans" Data explained, as Wanda nodded slowly.
She reached her hand out and gripped the data cube.
"Impressive. I am assuming that this was made with some of your allies?" Wanda asked, looking over at Picard who nodded.
"The council had found this project monumentally important, and thus they had scientists from a range of species work on this project to ensure that it would be capable of handling all of the knowledge, and able to store it safely for you to utilize at your will" Picard replied, a bit of pride leaving him.
It wasn't everyday you created a device that had all the knowledge of humanity since the birth of the first computer. And it wasn't everyday that you would get knowledge beyond your wildest dreams in return.
Gripping the cube, she began to utilize a number of her powers to figure out just what sort of information it held. She instantly felt it all, all of the knowledge held inside. She let out an appreciative whistle, finding it to be truly impressive.
"Fantastic! Well, since you have traded your knowledge, you shall receive mine. All books within my store shall be free to you for quite some time. Should you replicate this method with other species of the Federation, you will receive even more. Afterall, I'd love to learn more about the Klingon and Vulcan Species" Wanda replied, knowing that she would have to start making some new books for all the knowledge that she was getting.
"How long is "Quite some time"?" Riker asked, narrowed eyes as Wanda chuckled.
"It matters what books I get during the next year. There are thousands of new books flooding into here pretty much every month. Eventually some of those books will be very expensive and "Powerful" ones. The books that I imagine myself getting are going to make quite the dent in your trade" Wanda explained, but none of them were changing their facial expression.
"You mean to tell me that some of your books you believe you are receiving, are comparable to the knowledge of our entire species?" Tasha asked with a frown on her face.
"No, I believe many of them are superior. You do not understand just how rare some of these books tend to be, and what sort of knowledge can be found inside of them. I could offer a book on how to create black holes and turn them into an infinite energy source. That alone is superior to the knowledge your species possesses as far as I know" Wanda replied with a snort.
It was probably the truth, even if none of them wanted to ever admit that fact. But infinite energy from a black hole?
That's incredible.
And impossible.
"...That's possible?" Tasha whispered, which Wanda had overheard.
"Yep. A species known as the Timelords from another universe had managed to stop time exactly where a black hole was imploding - or whatever its equivalent is - and harnessed that energy it was producing infinitely. Therefore producing what was effectively infinite energy" Wanda responded with a small smile.
It was an immensely impressive feat of technology, but not the best she had seen, not even remotely close.
The others listened with wide eyes, while Data and La Forge looked very interested in the prospect of that.
"I don't have a book on that, before you ask. The Timelord that told me about it would not be trading such a thing. Mostly because if you do it wrong, you'd probably destroy your native universe, and potentially nearby ones" Wanda said, stopping them before they could even ask.
She chuckled when she saw their faces fall, before she opened her mouth and asked an important question.
"So...what books would you like?"
