The next day began quietly in the Ancient Masters Village.
Soft morning light spread across the rooftops of the village as the sun slowly rose above the distant mountains. A cool breeze moved through the streets, carrying with it the sounds of merchants preparing their stalls and students walking toward the academy.
Kaelen woke up early in his dormitory room. For a few moments he simply sat on his bed, thinking about everything that had happened the previous day.
Only yesterday he had arrived in the village after a long journey through the forest. Now he was officially a student at the Ninja Academy.
His dream of becoming a ninja had finally begun.
After getting ready, Kaelen stepped outside and started walking toward the academy.
The path to the academy passed through several quiet streets before reaching the training grounds. As he walked, Kaelen noticed something he had not paid attention to before.
In the distance, beyond some of the academy buildings, there was a large forest.
The trees stood tall and dense, their branches stretching high into the sky. The forest looked mysterious and ancient, almost as if it had been standing there for hundreds of years.
Kaelen stopped for a moment and looked at it carefully.
"I wonder what is inside that forest," he thought.
Perhaps it was used for training, or maybe it held secrets of the ancient ninjas who once lived in this village.
Curious, Kaelen made a mental note to explore it someday.
After observing the forest for a short moment, he continued walking toward the academy building.
Soon he arrived at the classroom.
When Kaelen entered the room, Allan immediately noticed him.
"Kaelen!" Allan called out, waving his hand.
Kaelen walked over and sat beside him.
The two had only met yesterday, but Allan already seemed friendly and easy to talk to.
"How was your first night in the dormitory?" Allan asked.
"It was good," Kaelen replied. "Everything still feels new to me."
Allan laughed.
"You'll get used to it. The academy can be a busy place."
They continued chatting for a few minutes while other students slowly filled the classroom.
Soon the bell rang, signaling the start of the class.
A few moments later, their teacher walked into the room.
It was Allex.
The students immediately became quiet.
Allex stood at the front of the classroom and looked around at the students with a calm expression.
"Good morning, students," he said.
"Good morning, teacher," the class replied together.
Allex nodded and began the lesson.
"Today we will learn about the geography and history of our village—the Ancient Masters Village."
The students listened carefully.
"Our village was founded between 127 BC and 152 BC," Allex explained. "It has existed for many centuries and has played an important role in the history of the ninja world."
Kaelen leaned forward slightly, interested in the story.
"During ancient times," Allex continued, "our village participated in the" war of the best."
Some students whispered among themselves.
"The war was fought between the Four Great Nations," Allex explained. "Many powerful ninja from different lands fought for dominance and survival."
He paused for a moment.
"Our ancestors played a major role in that war."
Kaelen imagined powerful warriors fighting across vast battlefields, using incredible abilities.
"According to historical records," Allex said, "the ninjas of the Ancient Masters Village were considered among the strongest warriors of the Four Nations."
"They possessed secret powers that were feared by their enemies."
The students listened with amazement.
However, Allex's expression became more serious.
"But even among such powerful warriors," he continued, "there existed one individual who stood above them all."
The classroom became completely silent.
"This person was said to possess such incredible power that he could defeat all the great ancestors single-handedly."
The students looked shocked.
Kaelen raised his hand.
"Yes, Kaelen?" Allex said.
"What was his name?" Kaelen asked.
Allex slowly shook his head.
"That is something even our historians cannot answer."
"Our forefathers once knew his name and his power levels," Allex explained. "But over the centuries, much of that knowledge has been lost."
The mystery only made the story more fascinating.
Who was this powerful person?
How could someone defeat the greatest ninjas in history?
Kaelen felt a strange curiosity growing in his mind.
The class continued with more discussions about the village's geography and history. Allex explained the surrounding mountains, forests, and rivers that protected the village and helped shape its development.
Eventually, the class ended.
Students began leaving the classroom and returning to their dormitories.
As Kaelen walked back toward his room, he kept thinking about the stories Allex had told.
The powerful ancestors.
The great war.
And the mysterious warrior who could defeat them all.
Inspired by those stories, Kaelen decided to begin training immediately.
He walked to an empty training area behind the dormitory buildings.
Standing alone, Kaelen began practicing basic movements—running, jumping, and strengthening his body.
Even though he did not yet know his special ability, he was determined to become stronger.
Days passed.
Then weeks.
Before Kaelen realized it, three months had passed.
During that time, Kaelen trained every day. His body had become stronger, and he had grown more confident.
His friendship with Allan had also become stronger.
The two spent time studying, training, and talking about their dreams of becoming powerful ninjas.
Now there were only two days left before the academy exams.
On the final day of class before the exams, the students gathered once again in the classroom.
Allex stood before them with a serious expression.
"Students," he said, "your exams will begin in two days."
"I wish you all the best."
The students listened carefully.
"But before the exams begin," Allex continued, "today you will discover something important."
"You will discover your unique power."
Excitement filled the classroom.
"But first," Allex said, "you must understand the different types of elemental powers."
"There are five primary types of power used by ninjas."
He raised his hand and began counting.
"Fire. Water. Wind. Earth. And Thunder."
"Each of these powers can also be developed into different ranks depending on the user's ability."
Soon a special object was brought into the classroom.
It was a glowing crystal sphere known as the Power-Finding Globe.
"This globe will reveal the elemental power that exists within each of you," Allex explained.
One by one, students stepped forward and placed their hands on the globe.
Different colors appeared each time.
After some time, it was Allan's turn.
Allan stepped forward confidently and touched the globe.
A wave of blue light filled the sphere.
Allex nodded.
"Water Style."
Allan smiled and returned to his seat.
Finally, it was Kaelen's turn.
Kaelen walked slowly toward the globe.
He took a deep breath and placed his hand on its surface.
Suddenly, something strange happened.
The globe began glowing with multiple shifting energies.
Inside Kaelen's mind, he could sense all kinds of different elemental forces swirling together.
Fire.
Water.
Wind.
Earth.
Thunder.
It was confusing and overwhelming.
The classroom murmured in confusion.
Allex stepped closer and examined the globe carefully.
After a moment, he noticed something.
A faint flash of lightning appeared inside the sphere.
Allex spoke calmly.
"As we can see some lightning energy, it appears that Kaelen possesses Thunder Style."
"Please take your seat."
Kaelen returned to his desk, still confused.
He had clearly felt something more than just Thunder.
But he could not explain it.
The class ended shortly after.
From that day forward, Kaelen focused on training his Thunder power.
He also studied some ancient inscriptions left by his ancestors, hoping they might help him understand the strange energy he had felt.
But deep inside his mind, one question remained.
What had he truly seen within that globe?
