From the kitchen came the sound of clanging and banging, as two men who never usually concern themselves with mundane tasks were busy cooking. Zoe found it quite unbelievable.
Yet, she couldn't help but feel delighted, raising her hand to Isabella and saying, "I think it's worth it for the burn I got today!"
Isabella took her hand, a bit distressed, "It's blistered, how could it be worth it? Hang in there, I've asked Harry Hunter to call Doctor Niles. He's really skilled and won't let it scar."
Zoe laughed.
Sure enough, Harry Hunter wouldn't summon a doctor just for a minor burn!
Turns out Isabella called the doctor for her.
While the two of them were chatting, Johan Niles rushed over with his medical kit.
As soon as he entered, he called out, "Sis-in-law," sweating profusely, "Are you burned?"
Isabella quickly explained, "Not me, it's her."
Zoe raised her hand, smiling, "Doctor Niles, long time no see!"
Johan Niles looked puzzled, "Do I know you?"
