Why did David say she's "soft"?
How does he know she's soft without having held her?
Ryker has held her before, and indeed she is soft. Over the years, she's the only girl he's held, and he selfishly doesn't want anyone else to hold her, not even David.
David praised her to the skies today, openly stating he wants to marry her, which made Ryker feel uncomfortable.
If he weren't physically weaker than David, he might have fought him.
"When are you going to take me to your house?"
"Why would I take you to my house?"
Zoe felt Ryker was acting very strange today, jumping from topic to topic without any connection, which made it hard for her to keep up.
"To repay you. You pretended to be my girlfriend at my house, I should pretend to be your boyfriend at yours too."
"Repay? I think you're trying to get even, right?"
Zoe was very wary: "Did you investigate me?" Otherwise, how would he know her original name was Mia Lewis?
Ryker nodded: "I did."
