In the car, Kong Yanzi saw Mu Yan's grave expression and asked, "Wasn't everything resolved? Why do you look so worried?"
"Do you ever feel like I'm overestimating myself?" Mu Yan asked.
"Hm?" Kong Yanzi looked at her, puzzled.
Mu Yan hesitated for a moment, then asked, "Maybe I had an unrealistic dream, and reality just slapped me in the face."
Kong Yanzi stared at her for a few seconds and said, "You wanted to be a hero and save He?"
Mu Yan's eyelids twitched. Though that was a bit of an exaggeration, it was more or less what she meant.
Seeing she didn't speak, Kong Yanzi smiled. "You really don't understand He. With someone like Him, the only things He doesn't have are the things He doesn't want. No one can snatch anything from His hands. I've never once thought He would lose in this inner struggle within the Jiang Family."
Mu Yan said with self-mockery, "So all my efforts look like a big joke."
