Our young hero happened to wake up in a new space, fully unclothed.
The feeling of a cold breeze on my bare skin caused my eyes to rocket open!
I looked around and noticed I was nowhere near the bed I'd previously lay my head on.
I'm instead one a pure white stone road that leads straight into an unknown building, which was somehow illuminated despite the lack of any visible Lightsource.
Confusion began to fill my mind as I shouted ''Where in the 3 tribes am I? And why am I naked?''
Unfortunately for me, nobody answered my question, and that only alarmed me more because I'm now completely alone in an unidentified location when I should be in my straw bed.
A quick survey of the area around me proved useful as it gave me time to collect myself and assess the situation.
I happen to be in a completely new unknown location, with nothing other than a stone path and a gargantuan
After looking around a bit, I noticed the lack of any infrastructure with the exception of the huge pristinely white building ahead of me.
Another observation I was making was that any living being here other me, because I didn't hear or see any movement other than my own.
additionally, I didn't pick up any scents at all, which is completely unnatural as any and all living creatures leave a scent trail, doesn't matter if they're, marking territory or sleeping.
Hell, I've left a scent trail, and I've barely been here for a few minutes.
All these signs pointed to one thing, the complete absence of living things here other than me.
That at least indicated that there's no danger.
The weird attraction that had been gnawing at me to enter the white building began to build in intensity.
I, of course tried to resist it but caught myself unconsciously taking steps towards the weird building regardless of my own will.
Nothing shook the hold that building had over me, not pinching my thighs, not digging my nails into my palms, not even biting my tongue could stop me from moving forward.
In my despair I tried everything I possibly could but no matter what I thought or did my feet continued with their same pace towards my involuntary destination.
'i gnashed my teeth together in anger 'stop stop, stop, STOP MOVING FORWARD."
My mental commands did nothing despite the tears streaming down my face as my mouth filled my own blood.
How could whatever this is, snatch one of the only things i had complete control over away from me without any resistance at all.
This the literal only thing I've had since birth, the one thing my siblings and the other pups couldn't take from me.
My bodily autonomy, my ability to make decisions, even my ability to speak all stripped from me at the drop of a hat by something or someone I couldn't even see.
My own body betraying me at the slightest moment, with no forewarning, no indication and no warning.
Thinking back to my days of waking up at the break of dawn to avoid being woken up by the claws of my litter mates, to avoid being berated by my own producers, to catch mice and other small critter while they were asleep because the pack didn't deem me important enough to feed.
And despite all that effort the little demons would sniff me out as soon as they could and 'borrow' my prey, if they couldn't find me they'd bother their stronger, faster and much, much crueller older siblings to 'play' with me.
as the juveniles 'played' much harder then their younger counterparts, I quickly learned to let the lesser of the two evils have their way, as they hadn't fully developed yet.
The damage they inflicted was much less than their more competent, frustrated elder brothers and sisters.
one time I tried reporting to the alpha male and female, my mother and father gave me and the only response I was given was that if I was stronger, I wouldn't be the victim.
That was the day my tears dried for the first time and the day I realized that tears are just a waste of time and hydration.
That was when I began analysing the relationships and actions of those around me, that led me to realize that other than my 'creators' there were other influential wolves.
Specifically, a pair of aging wolves who were given second dibs of each catch, weren't harassed by the youthful pups, had their own distinct hut, didn't have to participate in hunts and lived a relatively solitary life within our pack other than the routine visits of a few adult wolves whenever the moon was at its smallest phase.
At this point, I was beginning to lag in size compared to the rest of the pups in the pack due to not getting as much food as them as the alpha female had stopped me from suckling a year after i was born and the pack only let me eat after the adolescents and juveniles, who left nothing but bare bones for me.
So I snuck into their hut at the dead of night and was met by the face of the male amongst the pair who laughed, opened his maw wide and said ''Look what managed to find their way into our hut?''
A new pair of eyes landed on me and contemptuously said '' You mean this runt"
The larger ,male wolf then lifted and placed me on the couch ''yeah, this little morsel over here"
I was finally able to see the faces of both of them as the female smiled, carefully enunciated each of her words and in the softest, gentlest voice I'd ever heard said '' Now, little one, give me an excuse to let you see the light of the sun tomorrow?''
