At close range, countless star-like explosions erupted under strength that could shatter real stars into Shard. Photon Reflection Shield shattered again, but Belial did not care. He roared and fired a point-blank Ultra-Helix Fusion Reaction Heat beam.
The blast injured both of them, but no one cared. A charred hole was blown through one side of Beast of the End's neck, exposing a hollow, blood-red interior. The surface field still existed, but it was ineffective in close combat.
Belial pressed the attack and grabbed one massive horn. With brute force from Space Claw and repeated explosions, he tore it off despite adding more wounds to himself.
"Roar!"
Blood flowed down Beast of the End's twisted face. It opened its mouth and fired a close-range plasma beam that could erase space and time at the source, piercing straight through one of Belial's wings. He immediately returned the favor.
He smashed an elbow into its chest to create space, then followed with Plasma Cutter, carving another scar across its face.
"Huh, this is pretty good."
After chewing on the horn a few times, Belial's eyes lit up and he started eating its flesh directly. The progress bar rose much faster than absorbing the haze. Encouraged, he bit down on its shoulder.
Overlord Ridge roared and countered with a slashing claw, cutting away half of the already ruined wing. That was fine. Belial tore off a huge chunk of flesh, nearly biting the shoulder off, swallowed it whole, and nodded in satisfaction as the progress bar jumped again.
No problem. It will grow back.
"Progress… 35%!"
The plasma beam swept like an unstoppable blade, shaving away another half of his wing and completely destroying it. Belial used Space Blast Punch to stop the beam in his mouth and detonate it, then kicked forward and followed with a tail swing and Crystal explosion, driving the blade into its body and draining it hard.
Dense lightning burst from the remaining horns, and diamond-like starbursts blasted Belial away. He retaliated with Fusion Reaction Beam, but after being weakened by the field, it caused little damage.
"Progress… 55%!"
His eyes turned fierce as flames engulfed his body. Even the blood spilling from him burned like fuel, and his damaged form did not weaken him. In this burning state, the damage only caused energy to erupt more violently, which was exactly what he wanted.
He fired a Ultra-Helix Fusion Reaction Heat beam mixed with his blood and shattered organs. This time it broke through the field head-on and scorched Overlord Ridge's chest black. The explosion scattered much of the red mist, but Overlord Ridge was not concerned.
It saw victory tipping in its favor. The damaged red mist eroded his body at a deeper level, forming a strange connection. His absorption rate increased, but his body broke down faster. Even so, he still had fighting strength.
Most monsters in the Heisei Era series were walking tanks.
"Progress… 75%."
"Looks like I have to take a risk. Let us see who can still endure when we are both wrecked."
His body temperature soared to a dangerous level, close to slipping into Burning Mode, especially with his body full of gaps. His power continued to rise at an absurd rate, and a casual Fusion Reaction Beam now rivaled his earlier Ultra-Helix Fusion Reaction Heat.
Surging Lightning Magic formed red rings around his body, stacking and compressing around his right fist. The light grew blinding, flames leaking from between his scales as they began to melt.
"Magnetic Field Rotation plus burning form. My strongest power before Burning Mode."
"Full state, full speed, final power."
"Space Blast Punch!"
The close-range strike hit like a burning red comet, ignoring the red mist as it smashed through the field. The blazing fist slammed into Overlord Ridge's chest. Red energy waves exploded outward like a stellar flare, with armor shattering and flesh flying.
Overlord Ridge's chest caved in, and its massive body was hurled backward farther than ever before. Flames continued to coil around the impact point, burning relentlessly.
"Progress… 95%!"
It crashed through an unlucky Divine Kingdom that had not yet been fully destroyed, punching straight through it. Half of that remnant, barely the size of part of The Continent, was erased by the attached field.
Finally stopping, Overlord Ridge looked terrible. It coughed blood, its body fragile like a breakable vase. Cracks spread across its armor, wounds everywhere, its surface condition no better than Belial's.
Yet it remained calm. Ignoring its injuries and the near-total erosion inside, white light gathered across its body. The power of the End focused on a single individual for the first time.
Diamond-like stars circled it like a galaxy, with Lightning Magic threading through them and converging on its form. It opened its mouth. This strike would end everything.
Belial was in no better shape. His wings were almost bare bones, flames engulfed his body, and air leaked everywhere. For ordinary beings this was not fatal, but against Beast of the End, he had no chance to dodge and would be erased completely.
Then it hesitated. He did not retreat. He moved closer instead.
Why would he do this? Was he not afraid of disappearing entirely?
Beast of the End did not understand, but it would not stop. A white plasma beam of total annihilation fired straight at the approaching Belial. It carried far more End concept than the red mist or any field, unleashed without concern for its own existence afterward.
In theory, even if Belial survived, he would be crippled. But he smiled. This was exactly what he needed.
"Progress… 98%."
The beam pierced his body and expanded, engulfing him completely to erase him. The light swelled, then began to contract, and no trace of his form remained. Matter and energy could not withstand the End, and space and time collapsed with it.
Everything attached to them lost meaning and fell into the End. For the End itself, personally erasing a possible existence was a first.
How novel.
It closed its eyes, returning to the distant future of finality.
Everything was over.
Beast of the End suddenly opened its eyes and froze. The light at the erased location had not fully faded. Within it, something else appeared.
It was Belial, his health bar almost at zero. Most of his mass had been erased, yet he still clung to existence. His body was undergoing a strange transformation.
At the microscopic level, an unbelievable particle was being born, moving, working, and rotating.
"?"
"Progress…"
"100%… End Godzilla template loading… complete…"
There was no earth-shaking spectacle, but the End felt something impossible. For the first time, it felt shock.
Matter, time, and space were meaningless before the End. It was the ultimate endpoint. That should have been absolute.
Yet now it sensed something else, something that should not exist, something completely opposed to itself. What mattered was not material form, but the meaning behind that existence.
Infinite.
Belial opened his eyes.
End Godzilla and End Emperor had long been ranked in the untouchable tier, alongside things like singularities and Hell that were not even supposed to be discussed. Within the Godzilla Series Power Rankings, they always sat near the very top. This was an existence whose strength was almost taken for granted.
In the movies, it showed crushing power against low level cannon fodder monsters, the kind that barely counted as opponents. Of course, that pile of fodder included creatures like Rodan, Kumonga, and Hedorah, some of whom had been final bosses in earlier series. Power scaling had drifted to a strange place.
It was strong to the point that movie monsters could be divided into two groups. One group was Godzilla and King Ghidorah, and the other group was everything else. The gap between the two was total suppression.
What left the deepest impression on Belial was one specific movie sequence. Godzilla, freshly awakened after being frozen for decades in Antarctica, chased Gotengo nonstop, smashing through every monster in its path before charging straight into Tokyo. He genuinely did not understand how those short legs managed to keep up.
Thinking about it carefully made the answer obvious. The endurance was terrifying, and when it blew apart the meteor above Tokyo, the shockwave flattened the city below while it did not even pause to breathe. That level of energy reserve was absurd.
After personally experiencing that power, Belial realized it was not just about raw reserves or overall stats. There was something more fundamental at work beneath the surface. That realization came fast and painfully.
Beyond the traditional abilities of G-cells, there was an additional unknown component called G-particles. If one could not imagine what that meant, the closest reference was the fully charged Caesar Mode used by humans at the end. That included the clean spinning finisher that sent Caesar away, the Burning Mode.G.Shining Beam.
In simple terms, this thing provided an extreme level of energy recovery. It kept the body in a constant peak state of full energy, which was the only reason it could rampage from Antarctica to Tokyo without hesitation. After humans flipped the so-called cheat switch, the recovery efficiency jumped to an absurd level.
It was an efficiency of eight. The kind you only understand if you rotate the scale ninety degrees and stare at it sideways. Yes, that eight.
