"B-brotherr?" Gray's decoy asked the question in confusion. He wasn't briefed about this at all!
"Did Alistair not mention that?"
"No…" the man shook his head.
Carrence's brows furrowed at that. He scoffed in amusement before saying out his reply.
"He's asking for my help, but he won't even say that? That asshole is really something else, is he not?" Carrence eyes Gray's decoy.
The man couldn't help but just nod along.
Carrence let out another low scoff, shaking his head slightly as if he had already lost whatever patience he had left in his body.
"Then there's nothing more to talk about it," he said flatly.
His fingers reached for his cigarette that was resting on the ashtray. He picked it up and took another slow inhale. He closed his eyes for a moment as he exhaled the smoke.
"That bastard can rot in jail for all I care." His words came out cold without any hint of hesitation.
"After all, he deserves it."
