In the quiet villa, because of the night, it seemed particularly cold and cheerless.
All lights in the villa were on. In a room upstairs, there was a slight sound from the door lock. Then, the door opened a crack. Someone poked a round head out of the door.
"You don't sleep in the middle of the night. Are you pretending to be a ghost?"
A low male voice arose from overhead. There seemed to be some echoes in the quiet corridor.
"Oh my god!"
Margaret shivered from the gap between the doors. She was so frightened that she subconsciously wanted to hide. But she was so excited that she pulled the door handle first.
With a bang, the doors closed, squeezing her head between them.
"My head."
This time, she was caught in the doors!
