The next day, at the dining table.
Halle looked at Horton who kept picking up food for Emily and then looked at the clever and sensible Emily.
The atmosphere was too cordial and harmonious and she felt that there was something wrong.
"It's bad for children to eat too much meat. Have some soup."
Horton served Emily a bowl of Borsch.
Halle wanted to stop Horton, but before she could say anything, she saw Emily obediently take a sip of the soup.
Halle was stunned. Emily had always hated Borsch.

"It's delicious."
Emily pouted. No matter what Horton said, she responded obediently.
Halle could not help but frown again and again as she carefully sized up Emily.
"Mom, am I a good girl?"
Emily raised her head and asked Halle seriously.
Halle nodded and said, "Emily is the most obedient child."
"Mom taught me well. You sleep with me every day so that I'm not afraid. That's why I grow up healthily. I will become a good girl when I grow up."
