Zetsu was only there to watch. Although he knew he had been discovered, he didn't expect to be attacked for no reason.
This string of explosive tags startled him. Before he could completely hide into the ground, the explosive tags attached to the kunai exploded on the ground.
A cloud of dust rose from the ground. The ground, already turned into rubble by the lightning strike, could not withstand such an explosion and slowly collapsed.
