With one precise strike, his blade sliced clean through the dragon's neck. The beast fell to the cold ground the sound of it echoed through the bloodly walls of the dungeon
Sebastian exhaled a sigh of relief "now that was a hard boss"
"A mini boss you mean?' elijah added
sebastian rolled his eyes "easy for you to say while you stood in a corner huh"

Sapphire sighed as she was healing sirius
"exactly klaus but elijah thinks he single handedly saved us"

The party moved down the large corridor still chattering while elijah was trying to locate the boss
he tried to sense where the most amount of mana was located his eyes opened slowly
"the boss is half a mile further"
the party nodded collectively their expressions now calm, collected but as they closed the gap they were up against something which was impossible
A wall.
I mean walls are very common i know but i meant a wall instead of those huge fancy doors for a final boss
"A wall?" Sebastian frowned. "You sure about this?"
"Let me check again" Elijah muttered.
"There is a boss room," Elijah confirmed, eyebrows furrowing. "But it's behind this wall."
Sebastian raised his daggers. "Wow that's new"
"Guess we have to break it down"
Sirius stepped forward. "I'll do the honors, it's my job after all."
With one thunderous strike of his shield, the wall crumbled.
Beyond it lay a chamber open to the dark sky. Moonlight red as blood poured through a broken ceiling. A shallow pond shimmered.
And in its center, motionless a boy.

Elijah searched for the mana source again and turns out what he thought was the boss was the pond

"That pond has so much mana that I thought it was the boss!"

"I'm with Elijah, we don't know anything about the kid. This is a bad idea," Sirius added.

Everyone turned towards klaus who now holded the power to decide what to do
Klaus tilted his head, his nerdy logic awakened "This is history. A boy inside a boss chamber? He could have answers to the biggest mysteries in the world."

"Three to two. We take him."
"Let's be smart about it," Klaus said. "We have to Weaken him first."

If you are confused what 'the thing' is its a vehicle that klaus made its like a airship except it has literally boosters powered by magic
Everyone boarded. Klaus took the wheel.
Sebastian glanced at the unconscious man. his mind raced with thoughts eating him "Did I make the right call?"
suddenly he felt a pinch on his arm
Sapphire sat beside him. "You're thinking if you made the right decision aren't you?" she raised an eyebrow
"Remember when you recruited me?"
Sebastian's mind wandered trying to remember
"Weren't you the brave knight in the shining armour?"
"You said 'we help the innocent, join us sapphire lend us your strength' "

"That was!" she chuckled
"i wouldn't worry about it, this is what we do after all" a gentle smile appeared across her lips

The party glanced at each other exchanging looks on what just happened
"Maybe we overdid it?" Klaus spoke with a crooked smile.
"Well any normal guy would collapse from that" Sebastian muttered. "Let's remove the barrier and potions for now"
A few minutes later, the stranger opened his eyes.
Sapphire knelt beside him. "Hey... how do you feel?"
He blinked. "Who... are you?"
"I am sapphire" she pointed at herself

Meanwhile the party was behind her trying their best to look friendly but all of the had their weapons out
