"If you were with me," he replied, his tone teasing yet sincere, "I wouldn't have needed to struggle so much out there."
Then his gaze lingered on her. "You've lost weight again."
Ivy immediately frowned.
"That's a lie," she retorted, crossing her arms slightly. "I've actually gained weight."
She paused, then added with a hint of pride, "A full hundred grams."
Silas blinked. Then frowned in return.
"Then I'm cooking tonight," he declared.
Ivy didn't stop him.
Instead, she smiled faintly. "Our hero should eat first."
With a casual wave of her hand... food appeared on the table.
Silas looked at it… then at her… and sighed dramatically.
"I was planning to show off," he muttered.
Then he grinned. "My wife is too capable."
Without wasting another moment, he sat down and began eating.
Ivy watched him quietly. Carefully.
Though his weight hadn't changed much, something else had.
His aura. It felt stronger. Sharper. More refined. Curiosity flickered in her eyes.
