"Does this count as me stepping onto the Path of Remembrance?"
Silver Wing examined the gorgeous tachi, its entire body radiating a faint, dark red excess of divine light.
"Silver Wing, Silver Wing, what did you just do to me and Mei? I feel a little... hmm, a strange feeling I can't quite put into words?"
Kiana-cat jumped up and down, chattering and yelping, her perky assets jiggling with her movements. The young girl's gaze swept back and forth over her own body, as if trying to find ants rapidly crawling all over her.
Kiana's intuition told her that Silver Wing had definitely done something to her and Mei, but she didn't know what had changed.
Of course, Kiana believed with one hundred percent certainty that Silver Wing would not harm her.
"I merely severed two threads, no need to worry about it."
Silver Wing gripped the Jizo Mitama, continuing to sense the changes in the tachi and Rin.
"Threads? What threads?" Mei's eyes revealed her confusion.
"It's a bit complicated to explain... In short, people with small bust sizes can't see them. In the Elysian Realm, only Aponia and I can see them."
"?"
The silver-haired beauty's airy voice caused the expressions of the various surprised young girls to turn subtle one after another.
Gulp!
This was the sound of the white-haired dumpling swallowing hard while staring at the towering, perky snowy mounds on Silver Wing's chest.
"...We are still developing." Mei's face couldn't help but flush a bright red. Biting her thin, cherry blossom-colored lips, she spoke in a small voice.
A female's concern for secondary sexual characteristics is engraved in her DNA; after all, it is related to nursing offspring.
Furthermore...
Mei looked down at her own chest. Hers couldn't be considered small, right?
Even though she had gradually gotten used to Silver Wing's lack of a filter during their time together, the corners of Sakura's mouth still twitched slightly, but her expression quickly turned to shock as realization dawned on her.
"Could it be... the threads of destiny that Aponia sees?"
The one who asked the astonished question wasn't Sakura, but Elysia, who had also realized this point, her beautiful eyes suddenly widening.
"That really is something incredible!"
Elysia revealed a slightly exaggerated expression, clasping her hands together as she transitioned into a look of longing. "Saving the suffering princesses from the manipulation of destiny, is Silver Wing a Princess Charming riding in on a white horse from the heavens?"
Her beautiful, pink-and-blue eyes blinked playfully. Her gaze passed over Silver Wing and looked toward Aponia, who was slowly walking over, before she skipped over like an excited fairy.
"With something like this happening, it seems Aponia really couldn't sit still either. You've finally been caught by Miss Fairy!"
"I told you not to always stay in that pitch-black cage all by yourself. If a young girl's skin doesn't see the sun for too long, it will cry! My heart will also ache so much that I'll cry!"
Saying so, Elysia genuinely squeezed out a few drops of tears, looking very much like she would start crying right there in the next second if Aponia didn't agree.
Elysia knew that Aponia trapping herself in that cage was her way of trying to atone for her past sins.
But the past tragedies had not been her subjective intention. Besides, fifty thousand years had passed, and even Rin had arrived in the Elysian Realm—that was already enough!
"Elysia... I know."
With her slender hands folded in front of her lower abdomen, Aponia's voice was soft, her gaze as gentle as water.
She turned to look at Silver Wing, raising her pale blue, almost gray eyes. "Miss Silver Wing, are you able to... see and sever the threads of destiny?"
"No, I can't see them." Silver Wing shook her head, supplementing, "But Rin can perceive those blurry lines. It's roughly like Six Paths Naruto—unable to see, but able to sense Madara's Limbo Hengoku."
The so-called threads of destiny were, unsurprisingly, a manifestation of the Cocoon of Finality's Authority in a certain dimension. After all, Finality's true Authority was [Time].
Since it could loop back to the past, peering into the future was presumably nothing significant. Not to mention, Earth's environment and the newborn civilization were originally reset by the Cocoon of Finality using its Authority.
Otherwise, fifty thousand years of time would not be enough for Earth to naturally recover everything that had been destroyed. Just talking about the Previous Era's Ninth Herrscher using a pseudo-black hole to devour a continent—how much damage did that cause to the planet's surface?
Every single thing and every living being on the entire Earth possessed an invisible connection to Finality, used for recording, looping, and control.
"As for severing the threads, it can be done within the Elysian Realm from now on."
Silver Wing swung the Jizo Mitama, and the tachi dissipated into demonic red particles, drifting through the sky like dandelion seeds blown by the wind.
In the original worldline, Kiana-cat, having become Finality, was referred to as the God of Earth. Rin, following her Fantasy Evolution, was also a god, even though the latter was still weak, being a newly born deity.
But her life essence and core had already undergone a transformation, surpassing that of a Herrscher.
Therefore, Rin was able to sense the existence of the threads of destiny.
By the standards of a god, she was still too weak. Severing all the threads would be impossible, but cutting the strings of destiny for a few people, or even dozens or a hundred, was still doable.
Furthermore, they were inside a world constructed of data.
As a god possessing the Authority of [Digital], the Elysian Realm was Rin's home turf. Under equal conditions of development, Rin's manipulation of a data world far exceeded that of the Herrscher of Corruption.
"So it really was you all causing this commotion." The voice belonged to a tender and frail little girl, but the tone carried a bewitching charm that made one go weak at the knees.
"It's Dr. Mobius." Silver Wing turned her head to look.
Ink-dyed, pitch-black fabric displayed a strong presence like a stain spreading across a tabletop. The finely textured skirt hem subtly outlined the curves of a pair of mischievously crossed bare feet. At first glance, it also resembled a snake's tail coiling around one's waist, casually exuding a sultry aura.
"What are you doing now?" Noticing the gaze landing on her ankles and bare feet, Mobius's brows twitched upward for a moment, her tone completely devoid of any good grace.
In reality, over the past four months, among the four foreign consciousness entities inside the Realm, the one Mobius was most interested in was Silver Wing.
Combining this with some of the data obtained from Klein, Mobius discovered that the mode of existence of Silver Wing and Bronya was extremely unique. It wasn't standard split personality, nor was it some kind of parasitic state.
What kind of actions a certain snake would take toward a guinea pig she found interesting was easy to imagine.
Ambushing with a club, drugging to induce unconsciousness—she employed every underhanded trick in the book. If it had been Mei or Kiana, they would have fallen for Mobius's traps one hundred percent.
But as for Silver Wing~
With her strength in the data world of the Elysian Realm, she theoretically shouldn't have been able to resist Mobius, who possessed power nearing her prime. But unfortunately...
I'm using cheats.
Once the Jizo Mitama's corruption was unleashed, data entities were hard-countered to death!
The final result was that the unconscious Mobius was treated like a dress-up doll by Silver Wing and Elysia. Silver Wing was never one to keep all the fun to herself.
Sharing joy is better than enjoying it alone. But mostly, it was so she would have someone to share the firepower when Mobius inevitably sought revenge later.
The two of them took numerous photos of Mobius wearing a little pink dress, a maid outfit, a nurse uniform, and so on. Silver Wing and Elysia's friendship rapidly leveled up during the process of playing dress-up with Mobius.
After that, whenever Mobius saw Silver Wing, she would never again pretend to be that pitiful, delicate little sister from their first meeting. Instead, she exposed her true nature.
She didn't hide her emotions toward Silver Wing in the slightest.
This woman was just as annoying as Elysia!
"Don't wear such a cold face! Dr. Mobius, you should smile more and be more open-minded. Look at your chest, it's a bit barren... Ah! Why are you suddenly getting so worked up?"
Her pure white, wing-like cape fluttered like feathers. Stepping nimbly to dodge the sharp black spikes thrusting toward her, Silver Wing spoke with an innocent tone.
"I merely reverted to my body size from when I was younger."
She spoke through gritted teeth. To Mobius, those extra curves were just accumulations of fat; she originally didn't care about them at all.
But it was like the Jade Emperor arguing with Buddha over their status in Heaven. No matter how eloquently the Jade Emperor spoke, Buddha only needed one sentence from start to finish:
You got beaten by a monkey!
No matter how Mobius trash-talked Silver Wing, the latter would just look at her chest with a pitying gaze, opening her mouth to say "barren" and closing it to say "pitiful," forcing Mobius to care about it whether she wanted to or not!
Under Silver Wing's manipulations, the current Mobius's calm facade would instantly crumble as long as anyone made remarks about her flat figure.
"Oh~ Then when will Dr. Mobius be able to change back and let me see what you look like all grown up?"
It had to be said, the mature form of the Snake's frontal armor could probably squeeze into the top three of the Fire-Moth.
Aponia and Eden were competing for first place.
"Tch~!" Mobius curled her lip, not answering.
She couldn't exactly say that she had recently been experimenting with trying to revert her body size back to her mature older sister form—even if just for a short while—to give this annoying person, who was just like Elysia, a good look, right?
"Don't change the subject. You're the one who caused this commotion inside the Elysian Realm, aren't you?"
Mobius's small face bore absolutely no expression as she glanced at the demonic red particles permeating the entire world.
"What happened? Miss Silver Wing, Miss Rin, are you altering the fundamental data of the Elysian Realm?"
The voice of the Elysian Realm's maintenance personnel, Klein, rang out from thin air, carrying obvious panic and anxiety.
"Oh, Klein. Don't worry, we are just making some minor technical adjustments."
Silver Wing greeted her with calm composure, pinching her thumb and index finger together to indicate a tiny gap.
When the Digital World was first born, it was extremely rudimentary, containing only weak Data-types. Later, it was invaded by viruses, leading to Virus-types. In resistance, Vaccine-types were derived, and the upgrading of vaccines required the nourishment of new data.
Therefore, "Data - Virus - Vaccine - Data" formed cycle after cycle. This process promoted the continuous restructuring, regeneration, and development of the entire world.
Countless restructurings and regenerations were what created the Digital World. Even if the flow of time in the Digital World was different from reality, this still required a considerably long time.
But the Elysian Realm was different from the human world's network. It was itself one of the greatest technological masterpieces of the Previous Era. By comparison, the Elysian Realm could entirely be called the primordial Digital World of the Honkai World.
An uncompleted Digital World, or rather, a Digital World embryo.
Transforming the Elysian Realm into the Digital World of Caelus's impression was far easier than incubating a new one within the human network!
One was an Extreme difficulty, the other was Easy mode.
Outside the Elysian Realm, in the surface base's side hall server room.
Klein's expressionless small face showed a rare trace of panic.
She was frantically jumping up and down, running here and pressing there. Her small hands forcefully typed out several afterimages on the virtual keyboards that continuously materialized beside her, interpreting the true meaning of a 'flawless person'—someone with absolutely zero free time.
She genuinely didn't dare to stop for even a single millisecond!
"Please stop at once!"
Even though she was on the verge of tears, Klein still maintained her politeness. But even someone as rational as her couldn't help but widen her eyes, sweating profusely.
How was this some minor technical adjustment!
This was practically refactoring the underlying code of the entire Elysian Realm!
"Don't worry, you won't pass away."
The code of the Elysian Realm was being reconstructed in a format she couldn't comprehend.
It's over!
Klein went completely numb. She just felt like: Let it all be destroyed! Hurry up! I'm tired!
Then, just as Klein was about to stretch her neck, tilt her head, and instantly pass out from shock, she saw it.
A halo flashing with strange, colorful lights, seemingly composed of pixel blocks. Its interior was hollow, appearing to lead to a distant location.
"A door?"
For some reason, Klein felt that this hole of light was a gateway.
