"It can't be." He muttered under his breath, eyes narrowing as he took a closer look.
"Gabriel Reyes. What is he doing here?"
Although Matthew's voice wasn't loud, Gabriel heard it perfectly.
His footsteps stopped for the first time.
Those Veylor members around him who had originally prepared to continue rushing forward also obviously froze for an instant.
Gabriel slowly turned his head.
"Looks like you know me."
Matthew's expression had already completely sunk.
Of course he knew.
Or more accurately speaking he had never actually seen Gabriel before. But this name had appeared far too many times inside the Holy Church for it to be ignored.
He was one of the Church's most hated heretics! With bounties placed on his head.
"So it really is you." Matthew's voice became colder and colder. "The matter in the last transaction was also done by you."
