The underground chamber behind the door was vaster than she had imagined. The cavern spanned several kilometers across. High above, a dome so tall that its ceiling was nearly invisible was studded with countless luminous crystals like a brilliant starfield suspended in the underworld, casting a soft radiance over every corner of the cavern.
At the center stood a massive platform constructed entirely of golden crystal.
And atop that platform...
Over a hundred golden ant eggs, each the size of a full grown human, lay arranged in neat rows.
Every egg emitted a faint golden glow, and through their nearly translucent shells, one could vaguely make out tiny pulses of life gently throbbing within. Countless unborn young still slept peacefully inside.
The entire cavern was so silent that if a pin were to drop, it would surely be heard.
It was as if this place had been completely sealed off from the outside world, untouched by the brutal conflict.
