Another small ARC

The sound of an engine of a car running. The wheels turning as they spin on the ground. Three individuals in a car. Three girls who were best friends with each other.
"Hmmm, I think i'm tired of the I spy game."
"Oh come on Kate! I don't want to be bored."
*screeech*
The car stopped all of sudden as the driver couldn't believe her eyes.
"Hey Riri! Whats up with the sudden stop, you almost made me break my nose on the padding."
"You're fine...you two look."
Grabbing their attention, as both girls gazed at the direction Riri a black female pointed at.
"Yooooo.....that definitely looks like something from some movie."
The girl in the back seat spoke. Kate on the other hand wondered but also surprised.
"What did that?"
"I don't know..."
Riri had no idea, but what choice did they have.
"Nothing? Like nothing, Nothing?"
Riri deadpanned at the girl behind.
"Kamala, I don't know all the answers."
Riri said with an exasperated tone.
"Not like it matters, we were going to cross it one way or another."
"On we go!"
Kamala cheered, trying to lighten the mood. But all three were curious.
"To excited are we?"
Kate raised an eyebrow, as she chuckled how Kamala was as a person.
"I mean you don't see this everyday."
"Oh and zombies who wanna go Bleh, Bleh, Bleh."
"Hahaha!
Kamala playfully hit Kate, as they laughed and Riri chuckled. As Kate had made a gesture of how the zombies walked and a goofy face.
"Shortcut it is."
Riri stepped on the gas.
As they drove into it, the area was like a wasteland, with no life in sight.
"You think the zombies did this?"
Kata asked out loud, making Riri sigh.
"maybe we'll ask a zombie on the road."
Both girls chuckled.
"Haha! Good one Riri."
Kamala got the joke. Minutes passed, as the clouds were dark, thunder was heard in the skies.
"you know the sky looks beautiful."
Kamala muttered.
"Well, I guess I agree you weirdly enough"
Kate responded, as she also looked through the window.
"We're just roaming freely, so it feels that way."
Added Riri, as she also thought the same like the other two. They kept talking until Kamala pointed something out.
She squinted at the sight of clouds rumbling with loud noise, as they seem to be moving fast for some reason.
"Uh, guys? Are those cloud getting closer and really fast at that?"
"You're right....clouds shouldn't move that fast."
Riri agreed, she was the smart one in the group.
*BOOOM*
Thunder struck not to far, as they all tensed up.
"I think you should step on the gas!"
"Already doing it!"
Riri stepped on the pedal, as they were now trying to not get caught up with those strange clouds. A sense of unease settled in the three of them.
*BOOOOM* *BOOOOM*
Suddenly, beams of energy where being sent towards them. As they all panicked, Riri still composed swerve around to not be hit. As they closely almost hit them, causing explosions around them.
"Riri faster!"
"I'm already going as fast as I can!"
"This doesn't look so good."
Added Kate, as they were having another unsettling feeling. Then all of a sudden....
*BOOOOM*
A blast hit them so close sending the car launching in the air. Kamala quickly used her powers to form a crystalized shield around them.
The car flipped over and was now undrivable. The three girls got out, reassessing their situation.
"Car's gone!"
Kamala shouted, as Riri shouted something else.
"Friday!"
Nothing, their metal companion was no where to be found. As then more beams of energy came towards them. Making them instantly take cover.
*BOOOM*
"Oh! What is happening!?"
Kata was confused and scared, as she clutched her bow.
"I don't know!"
Riri had no answer to her question, as they popped their head open after not being blasted.
"Man, our so called shortcut was not it."
"You think this is what caused whatever shot at us to cause the massive hole in the mountains?"
"It's a good thought, but there could be other variables in play."
Riri answered, as they didn't notice figures behind them. Then they saw two different balls of light in the clouds, as they seem to collide with each other.
"Are those people...?"
Kamala wondered.
"I-"
*BOOOM*
Kamala quickly protected them from another blast, as they were sent scattering.
"You girls alright!?"
Kamala shouted, Kate was about to respond as she gathered her bearings and just saw a hand come from the ground. Scaring her off to see it was a zombie.
"Oh shit! Zombies!"
Multiple appeared surrounding them.
"Look alive guys!"
Riri shouted, their situation wasn't looking to good. Quickly Kate shot arrows at the zombies head multiple times. Killing them, while Riri shot energy blasts with her metal gauntlet. Blasting their heads off.
*Wooosh*
Kamala created a crystalized barrier to push through the zombie horde. Then created a defense wall around them as she struggled to keep up with the zombies attacking her walls.
*Swoosh*
*BOOOM*
Out of nowhere multiple blue beams shot at the zombies.
"Friday! You're up!"
"Combat function restored."
A flying robot with a teddy bear head spoke with an AI female voice. Riri cheered seeing her creation work.
As they fought more of the zombies. They saw a figure float close to them.
"A flying zombie!?"
Kate aimed at the zombie looking person.
"Negative, being is inorganic and heavily damaged."
"So not a zombie?"
Kamala said, wondering if the person in front of them was even an ally.
*Crash*
A massive noise was heard from behind. As they all turned to see a figure appear as the dust cleared. As it turned, it showed grotesque zombie features which it even growled like one. Their eyes glowed, but it showed that it was a woman. Once human or alien being.
"That is a zombie."
Friday the robot stated matter a fact.
"That is not good."
Kate muttered, as Riri shouted.
"Lets move out the way!"
They did so, the inorganic being instantly locked onto the flying zombie woman. They kept running zombies kept coming with no end. Riri shot a plasma beam at a zombie launching at her. When another tried to get her from the side, Friday killed it.
"Thanks friday!"
Kamala created a crystalized fist and slammed multiple zombies with it. Then went back to using her crystal walls to plow through them as they had spikes.
Kata on the other hand turned back, witnessing something she never seen before.
The two beings one zombie and one alien. Fought exchanging fists, as the zombie woman shot electric energy beams from both hands. The Alien swiftly flew away from it, as the zombie woman caused huge damage to the grounds.
The alien man shot beams from his eyes, as the zombie woman dodged and punched back. For him to exchange fists.
*Crackle*
The sound of their fight echoing in the valley. Until, the zombie woman looked at Kate with a growl.
"Lets see what you can do."
She was going to try something stupid with an arrow she got from zombie Hawkeye himself. When the zombie woman got closer Kate shot at her. Riri and Kamala saw this and gasped to what she was doing.
It pierced her, making her stop mid flight. As she looked down, only for the arrow to explode with confetti.
"....Shit"
Kate cursed quietly, as she just seemed to have done something stupid. She felt it right there her whole being screaming at her. She was going to die, as the zombie woman shot at her.
"Kate!"
Both screamed for her not being able to do anything.
*BOOOOM*
The beam hit Kate, both girls saw this. As tears streamed from their eyes. Only for the dust to settle.
"Are you stupid?"
A voice belonging to a man spoke, Kata eyes were close as she slowly opened them. Her heart was thumping violently because she was about to die. But a miracle happened someone just saved her.
