Chapter 591: The Avenger, Part 5
Huo Yu'er slapped Dai Hao across the face, swift and merciless. She wasn't about to indulge such a cold hearted man, and a mocking smile crept across her lips.
"Weren't you planning to give me the family title?" she scoffed. "Why, just because one of your sons is dead, you're already grieving? Isn't it tradition in the Dai family for brothers to kill each other? If I were to take the family title, I'd have the right to kill all my siblings, according to the rules set in place a thousand years ago. So what's your problem, Dai Hao?"
Her slap snapped Dai Hao out of his daze. He recalled exactly whose child Huo Yu'er was. He opened his mouth as if to say something, then fell silent, helpless against his daughter's burning hatred.
Watching this bloody scene unfold, Dai Huabin froze in terror, collapsing on the ground. A yellow puddle spread beneath him, an obvious testament to his fear that Huo Yu'er regarded with open disgust. Noticing her gaze, Dai Huabin desperately scuttled backward, scrambling to put more distance between himself and Huo Yu'er.
"Don't worry," she said with icy calm, "even though you beat me when we were children, your life has already been reserved for someone else." She dismissed him as though he weren't even worth her attention and returned her gaze to Dai Hao.
Now, the arrogance had drained from him, replaced by an air of defeat. His voice was strained as he finally spoke.
"You…are Yun'er's child?"
Huo Yu'er ignored his question. "That's no longer relevant. If you think bringing up my mother will make me stop, you're dead wrong. You're a stain on my life, a fact that can't be erased. Long ago, my master taught me that I have to cleanse my own shame, and so your fate was sealed the moment I came here. I have no mercy left for you."
"Ha… Tianxing Douluo," Dai Hao murmured bitterly. He never expected that someone had already planned out his end decades ago. It was a level of foresight that made him shiver.
A wave of terror crashed over him as he realized that everything he had built the carefully constructed image, the legacy he'd hoped to leave would be destroyed and forgotten.
In a desperate last attempt to save his family, Dai Hao tried to take full responsibility, hoping Huo Yu'er would show mercy to the rest of the Dai family. But just as he opened his mouth, his jaw froze, locked in an icy prison once more. The barrier around them dissolved, and Huo Yu'er summoned a powerful force that lifted all three members of the family into the air, flying them far from the mansion.
The fierce wind forced Dai Hao to keep his eyes shut, only reopening them when Huo Yu'er descended. He found himself staring at a scene that filled him with dread.
He and his two sons were now on a wooden platform, surrounded by a crowd that included many familiar faces relatives from the Dai family and others he didn't know.
"This is…?" Dai Hao's eyes widened in horror.
A Tianxing Federation official stood atop the platform, holding a long scroll. He began reading aloud, listing every crime the Dai family had committed over the years, from inciting war between the Sun Moon and Xingluo empires to bribery, soul tool trafficking, and more.
These were offenses so severe that, regardless of whether they occurred before or after the Federation's founding, they warranted a death sentence.
Dai Hao screamed internally for the official to stop, but reality was cruel and unyielding. The light in his eyes began to fade.
Finally, the official declared, "All charges have been verified by the Tianxing Federation's Public Security Committee. There has been no slander, fabrication, or misrepresentation, and all evidence is thoroughly documented.
"Therefore, by unanimous decision of the Triumvirate, the Dai family's titles, assets, and privileges are hereby stripped. In accordance with the Tianxing Federation Constitution, maximum sentences are to be imposed on all involved parties, up to and including the death penalty. Execution to be carried out immediately!"
As the final verdict fell, the crowd erupted into a fervor. Their arms raised, they chanted in unison.
"Death penalty!"
"Death penalty!"
"Death penalty!"
The ground beneath the platform trembled from the collective fury of the people.
The Dai family members, who had once abused their power and status, now stood utterly broken. Many wailed, some on the verge of madness, but this did nothing to deter the Federation officials from carrying out the sentence.
With the fall of each blade, another member of the Dai family met their end, leaving a bloody scene that the crowd witnessed with fervor. For these spectators, it marked the end of an oppressive era. They didn't question whether the crimes were true; to the common people, the powerful always carried original sin, and this was their chance to watch those sins be punished.
And finally, it was the White Tiger Duke's turn.
No longer the Battle God of Xingluo, he now stood as a condemned war criminal. All the years he had spent shaping his legacy had been reduced to nothing in an instant.
As the executioner raised his blade, Dai Hao's expression revealed no fear of death. In his final moments, it seemed that he had come to a realization. Bound tightly by Huo Yu'er's ultimate ice, he could not move, but his spirit energy was free. He sent her one last message.
"Ha ha ha! You are truly my daughter! The Dai family may fall, but you carry our blood. As Ye Wen's strongest disciple, you will become one of the greatest figures in the Douluo Continent! My Dai family's legacy lives on in you, Dai Yu'er! You will carry it to the pinnacle of this world!"
And then the blade fell. Even for a Titled Douluo, decapitation meant certain death.
The executioner, accustomed to seeing the desperate fear in the eyes of ordinary people, shivered slightly at the man's gleeful final gaze.
But Huo Yu'er looked down at her father's head with a sneer.
"The Dai family's bloodline? How pitiful." Her voice was full of scorn. "Once I ascend to godhood, I'll shed this disgusting body. There will be no more Dai blood in me I've only ever been Huo Yu'er."
Now only two members of the family remained: the Duchess of the White Tiger and a trembling Dai Huabin. While Huo Yu'er loathed the Duchess, she had no intention of resorting to any "dirty" tactics. The shock of reality, coupled with the mental torments Huo Yu'er had subtly planted in her mind, had already left the Duchess in a state of complete collapse.

Chapter 592: The Avenger, Part 6
Huo Yu'er had indeed left Dai Huabin for someone else to deal with. Though he had organized a group to bully her as a child, she'd already wiped out 99.9% of the Dai family. Letting another little one have their chance for revenge with this lone "seedling" seemed fitting.
With this thought, Huo Yu'er brought Dai Huabin back with her, leaving the Dai family corpses unburied she had no intention of giving these human scum a proper resting place. They were unworthy of even a grave.
At Tianxing Academy
As the top academy on the Douluo Continent, Tianxing Academy had undergone numerous expansions and now far surpassed Shrek Academy in size. Not only did it train soul masters, but it had also become the continent's leading center for soul tool research and development. Despite its growth, the academy's core remained steeped in traditional charm, with dense clusters of Blue Silver Trees throughout, filling the air with the unique fragrance of Blue Silver Grass spirit beasts even from a distance.
Instead of visiting Ye Wen immediately, Huo Yu'er went to a small villa within the core area. She knocked on the door, and it was answered by a young girl with pure white hair and snow like skin.
The girl paused briefly, then greeted her warmly. "Sister Yu'er, is something wrong?"
Huo Yu'er's icy demeanor instantly softened at the sight of this younger girl she had always cared for, and a warm, spring like smile graced her face. She held up Dai Huabin, who was slumped in her grip.
"Do you remember this guy? He's the one who orchestrated the attack on you when we were kids. Now that I've settled my own business, I've brought him back for you to handle however you want."
This girl was none other than the remnant body left by Snow Empress after her sacrifice, now called Ye Xue'er.
Ye Xue'er gave Dai Huabin a calm look, then took a step back in disgust. "Ugh, Sister Yu'er, what did you do to him? He's a complete idiot now. Killing an idiot feels a bit... beneath me."
Embarrassed, Huo Yu'er scratched her head. Indeed, tormenting a fool might be going a bit far, let alone killing one. "So, are you planning to forgive him?"
Ye Xue'er shook her head. "Forgive him? Only fools would do that. Father taught me well if someone is an enemy, they must be eradicated, root and all. Otherwise, if one day he becomes strong enough to surpass us, we'll regret it. I don't want to be a fool."
Even though both girls knew that with Ye Wen's support, Dai Huabin posed no real threat, they shared a laugh at the shared understanding between family members.
"Alright, then." Huo Yu'er glanced at the subdued Dai Huabin and encased him in her ultimate ice, freezing him solid. Though it was a bloodless way to kill, throwing him away like garbage wouldn't do. For now, she stowed his frozen body in her storage soul tool.
With this, the White Tiger martial soul of the Dai family was wiped out. Perhaps someday a long lost descendant might rediscover this martial soul, but regardless, the White Tiger's former glory would never be restored, just as Spirit Hall's had faded into history.
As Dai Huabin's death marked a significant milestone, a wave of soul power rippled through Huo Yu'er.
Thanks to Ye Wen's modifications, Ye Xue'er's body was no longer that of the Ice Jade Empress Scorpion, bound to nature as an ice spirit, but a true human. Sensitive to soul power as she was, Ye Xue'er immediately recognized Huo Yu'er's breakthrough and exclaimed, "Congratulations, Sister! You're the first to reach Titled Douluo now you truly live up to the title of senior disciple!"
Huo Yu'er, breaking free from her daze, smiled with newfound confidence. While she was Ye Wen's first disciple, her fellow students were all older than her, many with higher soul power. With the same resources, they had all been racing to see who would first break through to Titled Douluo.
Now Huo Yu'er had proven herself as Ye Wen's most gifted disciple, surpassing the others.
A soft clapping sound echoed from nearby.
Ye Xue'er had sensed Huo Yu'er's breakthrough, so it was no surprise that Ye Wen himself, deep within the Blue Silver Forest, had felt it too.
"Congratulations on reaching Titled Douluo, Xiao Yu'er. Have you chosen your title?" he asked.
Huo Yu'er's cheeks flushed slightly at his appearance, and she quickly bowed. "Master, my title is decided. I'll be known as Tianyuan."
Ye Wen nodded approvingly. The title "Tianyuan" carried dual meanings, representing both of her spirits. After her second awakening, her Lingmo Eye spirit had evolved into something worthy of being called the "Heaven's Eye," while her Ice Jade Empress Scorpion had transformed into the Reincarnation Empress spirit, embodying the endless cycles of life and rebirth.
In Go, "Tianyuan" referred to the center of the board, and as Huo Yu'er advanced, she too would become the center of the Douluo Continent. Her title could not have been more fitting.
As Ye Wen's first disciple to reach Titled Douluo, Huo Yu'er's breakthrough was cause for a grand celebration. Tianxing Academy held a three day banquet, announcing Huo Yu'er's title across the Douluo Continent.
With her ultimate ice abilities, which signified peerless power, Huo Yu'er's strength upon reaching Titled Douluo put her on par with Super Douluo and potentially Absolute Douluo, given her four word battle armor. Douluo Continent's schemers and ambitious elites now viewed her breakthrough with considerable caution.
Though Huo Yu'er held no formal position within the Tianxing Federation, her identity as a graduate of Tianxing Academy aligned her with the three sovereigns, further stabilizing the Federation's rule. In the years following her breakthrough, her fellow disciples, one by one, reached Titled Douluo, even the least talented among them, Juzi, thanks to Ye Wen's support.
But at some point, the Tianxing Knights mysteriously vanished, replaced by an official intelligence network known as Tang Sect.
Tang Sect became a powerful, covert force, tasked with hunting criminals and evil spirit masters and secretly purging corrupt officials. Though operating from the shadows, its reputation spread across the continent, winning widespread admiration.
For ordinary citizens, Tang Sect was a welcome and honorable force, fighting for justice. Only criminals and corrupt officials feared it.
And so did the former Tang Sect.

Chapter 593: Absolute Tang Sect, Part 1
Tang Corporation
Tang Wulin's face twisted with rage as he scanned the information in his hands, his roar filling the room as he swept everything off his desk. His eyes were bloodshot, almost feral in his fury.
"Damn it! I knew something was wrong with my application to register the Tang Sect name! So, this is where they're aiming to get me!"
With a string of curses, Tang Wulin vented his pent up rage, channeling it into his desk until it lay in pieces on the floor. Only then did he let out a deep breath, attempting to regain his composure.
When he had learned that Tang Ya was a member of the Tianxing Knights, Tang Wulin hadn't been the least bit worried. He'd even been confident enough to continue running his business unperturbed. After all, he had the backing of the HaoTian Sect one Absolute Douluo was nothing compared to his two fathers.
Yes, even if the entire Tianxing Knights descended upon him, he had no fear. His two fathers weren't just any Absolute Douluos; they were peak quasi gods capable of taking on three Absolute Douluos at once.
But the situation had changed far too quickly. In just a few years, the imperial systems that had reigned over the continent for millennia had vanished, leaving him a weapons dealer struggling to keep his business afloat. Now, he was barely able to scrape by, selling only some simple metal products.
Fortunately, with the cheap HaoTian Hammer labor available, his corporation had managed to rise to prominence in the metals industry across the Douluo Continent. However, none of these mundane concerns truly interested Tang Wulin.
He was the young master of the HaoTian Sect and the divine emissary of the Sea God, sent to spread the Sea God's glory. Now, his ability to do so had been entirely stripped away with the loss of Tang Sect's name how could he accept that?
Initially, he'd planned to bide his time and wait for the right opportunity. Who could have foreseen that the very ground he stood on would end up belonging to someone else?
This threat to the Sea God's faith left Tang Wulin with no choice but to abandon his plans to take things slowly. Though Tang Wulin hadn't fully regained his memories of the Divine Realm, he understood one thing very clearly: the Sea God's favor was a gift, but betrayal would bring divine punishment.
Currently, Tang Wulin was left with no viable solution. All he could do was pour his money into hiring bards to spread stories of Tang Sect's past glories across the continent, in a desperate attempt to salvage its fading faith.
Victory is justice, and victors get to write the rules. With Shrek now a mere shadow of its former self and the Douluo Continent united under the Tianxing Federation, the victors were now the ones who ruled. Tang Wulin had once ascended to power through Shrek's channels, not due to any particular talent of his own but because he had stood behind the continent's strongest force.
Now, with power passed on to a new master, Tang Wulin could finally feel the crushing powerlessness of being on the losing side.
Tianxing City, the heart of the Tianxing Federation, was built as a twin city adjacent to Tianxing Academy. Within it was Tang Sect, the Federation's top level intelligence agency, which reported directly to the three sovereigns.
At the head of this organization was none other than Tang Ya.
Over the years, Tang Ya had shed her youthful exuberance, gaining a reserved elegance, each movement emanating an innate steadiness.
Reading a report about a bard's efforts to glorify the original Tang Sect, her eyes remained calm and steady. Though the HaoTian Sect and Tang Wulin's corporation were of little consequence to her now, she could not tolerate them defiling Tang Sect's honor.
The glory built by the original Tang Sect had nothing to do with Tang Wulin, and she had no intention of letting him stand on the shoulders of her ancestors' achievements.
After a brief moment of thought, Tang Ya's solution became clear. She began drafting a plan to ensure this mess was handled and set it in motion, leaving her team to carry it out. Unlike Tang Wulin's small troubles, her true focus was on weeding out the hidden traitors and shady elements threatening the foundation of the new Federation.
In an era with limited entertainment, free ballads sung by wandering bards were one of the few means of diversion available to the masses. Their renditions of heroic epics captivated audiences, recounting tales of Tang Sect's history, its strength, and its glory. Many listeners left awestruck.
"So there really was a Tang Sect back then, and it was founded by the Sea God Tang San himself. Incredible!"
"Yeah! Especially since the Sun Moon Empire was nothing to scoff at back then."
"By the way, why haven't we heard of them before? Only this new Tang Sect agency in the Federation has a similar name. Mister Bard, do you know anything about that?"
The young man who asked the question looked at the bard curiously.
Not just anyone could become a bard. In a time when education was scarce, every bard came from some sort of background, whether a fallen noble family or an impoverished soul master household. It wasn't out of place for commoners to respectfully address bards as "Sir."
The mustachioed bard hadn't received much in the way of tips, but he was in good spirits, as he wasn't relying on tips alone for his pay. Answering questions like this was also part of his job, so he twirled his mustache and responded with an air of mystery.
"It's no surprise you haven't heard of them. Tang Sect stood at the frontlines for thousands of years, waging war after war until it fell into decline just decades ago. But "
The bard had been planning to segue into Tang Wulin's struggle to revive the Tang Sect, but a new voice interrupted him.
"But the Tang Sect is thriving once again. Haven't you heard of the Federation's top tier intelligence agency, Tang Sect? It's an elite task force under the command of the three sovereigns and the work of Tang Ya, one of Master Ye Wen's seven disciples the 'Tang Sect Douluo.'"
The interruption may have been rude, but the crowd's immediate enthusiasm for Ye Wen's disciple was undeniable. They sang praises of Tang Ya, remarking on how remarkable she was, a worthy descendant of the original Tang Sect.
The bard's face turned green with anger. He was being paid based on his effectiveness, and now this interruption was sabotaging his performance!
Fuming, he shouted, "What nonsense are you spouting? The true Tang Sect is under Tang Corporation's President Tang Wulin. What does this 'official Tang Sect' have to do with it?"
The young man gave him an amused smile, then pulled out an official badge and held it up for everyone to see.
"And what would you know about it? Tang Sect's First Class Investigator, Lin Fan, at your service. Care to explain that claim?"
The bard's face turned a deeper shade of green as panic set in. He was just a weak, one ring soul master trying to make some money by talking had he really just stumbled into trouble with the law?

Chapter 594: The Unrivaled Tang Sect, Part 2
However, Lin Fan didn't immediately arrest the bard. Instead, he remarked, "The Tang Corporation does indeed have some connection to the original Tang Sect, but the entity supporting it is not the true Tang Sect it's the reclusive HaoTian Sect. If you've read The Tale of the Shrek Seven Devils, you'll know that while the Sea God Tang San was born into the HaoTian Sect, the Tang Sect he founded had nothing to do with HaoTian Sect."
Lin Fan paused and gave the bard a pointed look before continuing. "And have you ever wondered why the original Tang Sect, now called the Tang Corporation, changed its name?"
The bard hesitated, unsure how to respond, and his face tightened with embarrassment as Lin Fan's sharp gaze bore into him. Trying to maintain his composure, he finally mumbled, "Well… if that's all, I'll just be on my way."
The bard tried to retrieve his hat from the ground and leave, but Lin Fan clamped a firm hand on his shoulder. "Not so fast," he said calmly. "You're currently under suspicion of defaming the honor of the Tang Sect Douluo. You'll need to come with me to the station and clarify a few things."
The bard forced a smile, nodding reluctantly. If he hadn't spoken up for Tang Wulin's Tang Corporation, he might have avoided this mess. But he had and all for a handful of coins.
Lin Fan sighed softly, a bit disappointed that the bard hadn't given him an excuse to accuse him of resisting a government official. Still, he proceeded with his official duty. Taking in the faces of the onlookers, he spoke up, "The heroic Tang Sect may have fallen on hard times, and there was a point when the sect was left with only the Tang Sect Douluo herself to bear its legacy. There were even certain individuals who stole the sect's sacred artifacts. However, thanks to the blessings of the Tang Sect's ancestors, she encountered Tianxing Douluo, and now she has restored the Tang Sect's glory.
"I hope all of you understand this: there is only one true Tang Sect today, and that is the Tang Sect organization under the Tianxing Federation. Don't get swept up in rumors don't believe them, and don't spread them. Thank you all for your cooperation."
With that, Lin Fan gave a slight bow and escorted the bard away.
Though Lin Fan's words had been brief, they left a lasting impact. Tang Ya's story of once being weak but now rising to be among the strongest figures on the Douluo Continent moved many listeners. And since most people naturally empathized with underdogs, they didn't need Tang Ya to fan the flames. The wave of bards recounting these tales alone sparked discussions across the continent, with many reflecting on the original Tang Sect's legacy and feeling the injustice of Tang Ya's experiences.
Although Tang Ya never publicly pursued a claim against Tang Wulin's Tang Corporation, the consequences were inevitable. Inspired by her strength and the example she set, Tang Corporation's business began to suffer heavy losses.
Tang Corporation
Tang Wulin's expression darkened as he reviewed the company's latest reports. Business across all sectors was plummeting.
Though he was no prodigy, Tang Wulin wasn't a fool, and he quickly deduced the cause behind the decline. "Tang… Ya…" he muttered through clenched teeth, filled with resentment but helpless to act.
Tang Ya was no longer the young girl in Shrek City he'd once manipulated, the one who had stood alone and friendless. His two fathers were formidable, but her master Tianxing Douluo had once defeated both of them single handedly.
For the first time, Tang Wulin was starting to question his own fate. Am I truly a chosen child of destiny? he thought. Why isn't my life going smoothly like the stories of other Chosen Ones?
Though he had a naturally gifted dual spirit, an ideal family background, and had faced few hardships growing up, his life wasn't unfolding as expected. The only frustration he had encountered thus far was being rejected by Huo Yu'er. Still, he had pressed on, rising to Soul Douluo rank at eighty six levels and building Tang Corporation into a major powerhouse.
But now, the golden future he had envisioned was crumbling before his eyes.
"Argh!" Tang Wulin howled, his voice echoing off the walls. He slammed his fist on the table, pounding it into splinters, yet it did little to ease his frustrations. With his spirit power misaligned, he ended up injuring himself internally, spitting out blood as a result.
At last, Tang Wulin faced the bitter truth: though he was capable, his abilities were limited. He needed assistance.
After hastily using the Mysterious Heaven Technique to repair his internal injuries, he set out for HaoTian Sect, intent on seeking help from his father.
Divine Realm, Sea God Temple
Tang San's expression was grim as he studied the energy emanating from the surrounding pillars.
"The faith energy is waning again… Damn it, what could Daming and Erming be doing down there?"
Tang San had noticed this decline in faith energy a few days ago and wanted to directly intervene on Douluo Continent, but he soon realized that several other gods had begun paying attention to Douluo Continent, leaving him unable to interfere directly.
The Douluo Divine Realm was currently responsible for overseeing one hundred and eight worlds. While many worlds existed under its influence, the gods couldn't freely harvest faith energy from all of them, as each world's innate spiritual essence was finite. If unchecked, the continuous extraction of faith would eventually cause these worlds to perish.
For the fractured Douluo Divine Realm, whose gods had long since grown complacent, this reality was devastating. Thus, Tang San's primary source of faith remained Douluo Continent.
Unfortunately, Tang San had destroyed the Slaughter City an extension of the Asura God's domain and he regretted it deeply after ascending. He realized he'd lost a valuable opportunity, one he couldn't regain. His advancement to the God King level was largely due to the immense reserves left behind by the former Sea God Poseidon.
Tang San had considered recreating the Slaughter City, but his careful observation revealed that the more chaos the evil soul masters sowed, the stronger the suffering among Douluo Continent's people, and the greater their faith in him, the pure and righteous Sea God.
With such a convenient source of worship, Tang San put aside his plans for a new Slaughter City. After all, he was still young, and although he was an upper rank god, he had yet to fully reach the God King level. There was no reason to renounce his godly seat so soon, especially when he intended to eventually pass it to someone within his own family.
Yet even as he tried to carefully manage the faith on Douluo Continent, Tang San found things worsening, and he began to realize that his efforts were backfiring. Although he wished to manifest and enforce his presence directly, the laws of the Divine Realm forbade such actions, even for an enforcement god. His only option was to act subtly, but with so many divine eyes now trained on Douluo Continent, Tang San could do little but seethe in frustration.

Chapter 595: The Seven Elemental Gods
Each era brings forth its own array of talent. Among the generations in the Douluo Continent's long history, the Unrivaled Tang Sect era undeniably produced the greatest number of geniuses.
Though few attained godhood in the original story, it could not dim the brilliance of the talents of that time. Leaving aside the peerless Douluo figures such as Dragon God Douluo Mu En and Dragon's Retreat Xiaoyaoye, two prominent disciples at Shrek Academy Zhang Lexuan and Ma Xiaotao both displayed peerless potential. With exceptionally high quality martial souls, either could likely attain godhood if they attracted the right deity's attention.
And as for Huo Yu'er, the central character of this era, her talents were extraordinary enough to set her apart from the beginning. Furthermore, each of Ye Wen's six other disciples, even the least talented among them like Ju Zi, had developed the qualifications of a "God's Chosen" thanks to the enhancements granted by immortal herbs.
Meanwhile, within the Divine Realm, two renowned godly organizations consisted of groups of seven known as the Seven Elemental Gods and the Seven Sins. The Seven Sins were devoted followers of the God of Destruction, bound to remain in the Divine Realm alongside their master. The Seven Elemental Gods, however, held a neutral stance and shared a strong bond among themselves, agreeing that if one of them descended, all would descend together, or none would descend at all.
In the Seven Elemental God temples, the head of the group, the God of Space, gazed down at the Douluo Continent with great interest.
"I never imagined we'd find all seven potential successors in one generation. So, what do you all think? Shall we send down our divine inheritances?" he asked.
The other six elemental gods pondered his suggestion for a moment, then nodded in agreement.
At this moment, the Seven Elemental Gods were observing Tianxing Academy. With Ye Wen's assistance, Yi Jianjin and Xue'er formerly the Three Eyed Golden Lion and Ice Jade Empress Scorpion possessed unparalleled talents that were unparalleled within human limits.
Yi Jin'er, with her dual ultimate elements of fire and light, had drawn the interest of both the God of Fire and the God of Light, who were now locked in a debate over who should inherit her as their successor. Although the precedent of Tang San, who bore two divine titles, existed from a past era, it was well known that he could not wield both at once without great difficulty hence the need for his "scabbard," the "Little Dance Tool."
Despite the higher rank of the God of Light compared to the God of Fire, just as the God of Light seemed poised to win, the God of Space spoke up.
"Light, it may be best to allow Fire to take this young girl as his successor. After all, she's the only one among our selected inheritors with a fire attribute."
The God of Light hesitated, her face reflecting reluctance. As gods, they too had desires, and she had hoped for a successor who perfectly matched her divine attributes. But after a moment, the gentle Water God joined in with a soft voice.
"Sister Light, it's best if we let Brother Fire take her. After all, there is also another potential successor with a light attribute at Shrek Academy. Besides, we've been together for ages let's keep it that way by ensuring we each have successors."
After hearing her words, the God of Light finally relented. "Fine, in that case, I'll take Xu JiuJiu as my successor. Although her starlight attribute differs somewhat from my pure light, it's close enough that a bit of guidance should bring her in line."
The seven gods then settled back into harmonious accord.
While Huo Yu'er lacked the attributes the God of Space traditionally sought, the modifications Ye Wen made to her Ice Jade Empress Scorpion martial soul transforming it into the Reincarnation Goddess martial soul gave it certain spatial characteristics, which perfectly suited the God of Space.
Having chosen Xu JiuJiu as the successor for the God of Light, the God of Darkness, who often stood opposed to Light, selected Tang Ya. While Tang Ya had long left behind her earlier, more troubled years, the darkness embedded in her martial soul remained unmistakable. Though Xiaoyaoye's Ultimate Darkness also aligned with the God of Darkness, just as the God of Light did, the gods ultimately chose Tang Ya, ensuring that each had an inheritor.
The Water God selected Wei Na, the talented disciple with the Snow Lotus and Brain dual martial souls. Though Snow Lotus leaned more toward ice, it could be associated with water, and both abilities focused on support, making Wei Na an excellent fit.
Finally, the God of Earth chose Xiao Xiao, whose Three Life Soul Calming Cauldron martial soul not only connected to the land but also enhanced defenses and held gravity manipulation attributes perfectly aligned with the Earth God's domain.
With the decision made, the Seven Elemental Gods simultaneously bestowed their divine assessments upon their chosen successors.
While each of these gods was only a first rank deity, their elemental domains encompassed all one hundred and eight worlds under the Divine Realm's jurisdiction. Each of these worlds contained worshipers and followers who channeled faith to these gods.
Down on Douluo Continent, the high priests serving the Seven Elemental Gods felt the divine mandate tremble within them.
"I hear and obey, O great gods," the Seven Elemental God high priest intoned solemnly, bowing deeply before the seven statues of the gods.
Meanwhile, across the skies of Douluo Continent, seven streams of brilliant light streaked down toward Tianxing Academy, drawing gasps of wonder from all who saw them in Tianxing City and beyond.
The seven girls sensed the extraordinary aura, unmistakably recognizing it as divine. Apart from Huo Yu'er, the six disciples accepted the divine inheritance gladly.
Unlike her fellow disciples, Huo Yu'er was already secure in her path, and she hesitated, unsure whether to accept the divine assessment. Sensing her resistance, the assessment mark flickered in mild displeasure.
At that moment, Ye Wen's voice reached her ear. "Accept it. When you ascend, I will grant you a reincarnation godhood. You'll be able to integrate this space godhood because space is a part of the cycle of reincarnation itself. It won't hinder your future path."
Reassured by her master, Huo Yu'er accepted the inheritance with confidence.
The next day, word spread throughout the upper echelons of the Tianxing Federation that seven individuals had received divine inheritances. This marked the start of a new era, signaling that reaching the hundredth level and attaining godhood was no longer an impossible dream. It affirmed that the godhood achieved by the Shrek Seven Devils millennia ago had indeed been real.
Across the Federation, the news unified public sentiment, strengthening their belief in the new order.
In the Divine Realm, Tang San briefly benefited from a spike in his own renown. However, his expression was dark as he reflected on the nature of this newfound faith.
"Damn it. This isn't the kind of faith energy I need at all!"
