Chapter 11 - chapter 11 : soul spirit awakening

Two days later.

Aryan Gill sat at the dining table. Coffee in hand. Eyes distant.

"Aaron."

"Yes, Dad."

"This soul spirit awakening. Can anyone do it?"

Aaron looked at his father. Aryan's face was calm but his fingers tapped the table. Nervous.

"The ritual needs the chant and diagram. But there is another way."

"What way?"

"Someone with an awakened soul spirit can trigger the awakening in others. Using soul force."

Aryan put down his coffee.

"You have an awakened soul spirit now."

"Yes."

"So you could do it for us."

"Yes."

Ashley walked in. She had heard everything. Her wizard blood stirred.

She had always been the powerless one in her immortal family. No longevity. No bloodline abilities. Just the wizard potential that was never fully explored.

Now her son could give her something else. Something real.

"I want to try," she said.

Aryan nodded. "Me too."

---

Night. Backyard again.

Moon was thinner now. Crescent. But enough.

Aaron drew the circle. Smaller this time. Simpler. The triangle. The symbols. Ground was still stained from the snake blood days ago.

"Who goes first?" Aaron asked.

"I will," Aryan said.

He stepped into the circle. Stood still. His shirt was off. Bare feet on cold stone.

"Close your eyes," Aaron said. "Breathe slow."

Aryan obeyed.

Aaron placed his hand on his father's chest. Over the heart. His own soul force stirred. The serpent inside him uncoiled. A thin wisp of golden light left Aaron's palm and sank into Aryan's body.

Aryan gasped.

The soul force moved through him. Searching. Probing. Then it found something. Small. Dormant. A spark buried deep in the bloodline.

Aaron pushed.

The spark ignited.

Aryan's body jerked. His head tilted back. His mouth opened. From his chest, light emerged. Not golden like Aaron's. Pale blue. Soft. Cool.

A shape formed above him.

Small. Translucent. Floating in the air like it was swimming.

A whale calf.

Its body was round. Its fins were tiny. Its eyes were dark and gentle. It made no sound but its presence was calm. Deep. Ancient.

Aryan opened his eyes. Saw the creature above him. His mouth fell open.

"What... what is that?"

"Your soul spirit," Aaron said. "An aquatic creature. A whale."

"I have a whale?"

"A calf. Young. It will grow."

Aryan stared at the small whale. It turned in the air. Swam toward him. Nudged his shoulder. He felt the touch like cold water. Refreshing.

May be father, one of ancestor is with sea creature bloodline, he was in demi god realm, otherwise how could father had soul spirit, only small population can have soul spirit.

"It's... beautiful."

Ashley stepped forward. Her eyes were wet.

"My turn."

---

Ashley stood in the circle.

Her jaw was tight. Her hands were fists. She was ready. She had waited her whole life for power. Her family had it. Her husband now had it. Her son had more than anyone.

Now her.

Aaron placed his hand on her chest.

The soul force entered her faster. Her wizard blood pulled it in. Hungry. Eager. The spark inside her was bigger than Aryan's. Brighter. It did not need to be found. It jumped forward.

Aaron pushed.

Ashley screamed.

Light burst from her. Not pale blue. Red. Gold. Vibrant. The force threw Aaron back a step. Aryan caught him.

From Ashley's chest, a shape launched into the air.

Small. Fast. Chaotic.

A plant type soul.

It was like moveable grass, it was emiiting blue light.

Ashley stood in the circle. Breathing hard. Her eyes glowed red for a moment. Then faded.

"I felt it," she said. "I felt the power."

Aryan's whale calf still floated near him. Peaceful. Silent.

"Can yours do anything?" Ashley asked.

"I don't know yet," Aryan said. "It just... floats."

"Give it time," Aaron said. "Spirits grow. Abilities come later."

---

They sat in the living room after.

Tea. Silence. Three people with new souls.

Aryan kept touching his chest. The whale was inside him now. He could feel it. A cold spot near his heart.

"I can sense water," he said. "The pipes in the walls. The moisture in the air. It's strange."

Ashley felt different. She felt her body was filled with strength. It was becoming more youthful.

---

Later. Aaron's room.

He closed his eyes. Checked the panel.

His own soul spirit stirred. 2% growth. Still hungry. Still incomplete.

He opened his eyes. Looked out the window. The moon was thin. The city was loud.

Things were changing. Faster now.
