It's been a year since I started writing TPM.
Looking back, I can see there were plenty of mistakes along the way. Some arcs stretched longer than they needed to, the pacing slowed down, and my upload speed dropped compared to when I started. I know some of you have felt frustrated with the recent direction, especially after 130+ chapters.
That said, I'm still grateful. The support this story has received over the past year is the reason I've been able to keep going.
A lot has happened for me personally during this time, including health and other challenges, but I don't want to turn this into a post about that. This is about the story and where it goes from here.
What I want now is to improve.
So I'd genuinely like your thoughts:
- What do you think needs to be fixed in TPM?
- Are there things you'd like to see improved in pacing, plot, or character focus?
I'm taking all feedback seriously because I want the next year to be better than the first.
My current plan is:
- 2 TPM chapters per week
- 1 chapter per week of Taking a Battleship to a Fantasy World on patreon
- Continue bonus content on Patreon
- Finish drafting my LN by the end of this year, then edit and sell the entire first volume.
That's the goal. I'm still committed, and I want to make these stories better.
Thanks to everyone who has stayed with me so far. Your support matters more than you probably realize.
