That was what he thought as he moved his rook forward on the chessboard, caging his opponent, leaving him helpless. He smirked in thrill as he thought of the pieces as his real-life opponents—his chess pieces—who were in the same position as them now.
It was very interesting to see them jump onto the bait he had thrown at them like hungry sharks, assuming that they could use it against him. Amusing. They were really amusing yet dangerous and sharp.
It was electrifying to watch them fighting hard to get ahold of his bait, a string that could lead them to him, that could also unveil the reason for their parents' death.
The way they were still so strong, both physically and mentally, and confident and unwavering, even after he had sent a past threat to them and pushed a sensitive subject of theirs, excited him. However, it was a threat to him too. He felt threatened.
