Chapter 268 - Chapter 267: The Girl Who Lifted the Tripod

"This little girl wants to lift the tripod?"

"You've got to be kidding."

"Hey, little miss, don't fool around! If you can lift that tripod, I'll eat the whole thing!"

"You said it yourself! I heard you!" Yue'er giggled, pointing straight at the Mo disciple who had spoken.

"Yeah, I said it! So what?" The disciple laughed, joined by a wave of chuckles around the hall. To them, the idea of such a delicate, pretty girl lifting a 2,500-kilograms bronze tripod was absurd — as likely as the sun rising from the west.

"Yue'er, stop playing around," Shaoyu said quickly. "That thing isn't a toy. You could get hurt."

He wasn't underestimating her — but by all logic, no fragile little girl could possibly lift something that had taken twelve full-grown men to carry.

"Sir Goku… what do we do?" Master Ban glanced nervously toward Goku.

"It's fine," Goku said with a faint smile. "Let her play."

He showed no hint of concern — only quiet amusement flickering in his eyes.

"Wait, she's not really going to try, is she?"

All around, Mo disciples fell silent as Yue'er stepped forward, her tiny hands brushing against the massive bronze tripod. The hall quieted; the laughter faded into breathless anticipation.

She didn't look like a fool. And if she wasn't foolish — could she actually do it? The thought was ridiculous, yet every eye stayed fixed on her slight form. Even Shaoyu, watching her serious expression, found himself waiting in earnest.

Yue'er patted the tripod lightly, smiling. "Only 2,500 kilograms? Piece of cake!"

She gripped one handle with a single delicate hand.

"She's not planning to lift it one-handed, is she?"

"That's impossible!"

"She's adorable, but clearly crazy…"

Before the murmurs could build, Yue'er glanced around and called out sweetly, "Watch closely, everyone! Up!"

Her childish voice echoed — and then every jaw in the room dropped. The 2,500-kilograms bronze tripod rose, inch by inch, until Yue'er held it aloft with one hand, arm fully extended over her head.

Eyes widened. Mouths hung open. The room was filled with the sound of hearts stopping.

"She—she really lifted it!"

"With one hand! Heaven help me, is she even human?"

"My god… even Chief Da Tiechui couldn't do that single-handed!"

Da Tiechui and Shaoyu stood frozen, staring in disbelief. The little girl had just done what no mortal man could — a twelve-year-old child holding a 2,500-kilograms tripod in one hand.

Yue'er beamed. "See? It's not even heavy!"

"Th-that's… amazing!" Shaoyu stammered. He'd always been proud of his divine strength — until this moment. Being outclassed by a little girl left him utterly stunned.

"Little miss, what on earth do you eat?" Da Tiechui exclaimed, half-awed, half-humiliated.

Yue'er laughed, tossing the tripod lightly from hand to hand as if it were a toy. "Hee-hee! Impressed now?"

She truly was — in every sense — her Big Brother Goku's student. Raised under his constant care, fed on elixirs and thousand-year spirit fruits like candy, her body had long surpassed the limits of mortal flesh. A mere 2,500-kilograms tripod was nothing to her.

---

"Goku, isn't Yue'er getting carried away?" Xue Nu murmured, brow creasing.

"A bit," Goku admitted, rubbing the bridge of his nose.

But before either could speak further — disaster nearly struck. Yue'er, spoiled and adored from birth, was still a child. In the thrill of showing off, her grip slipped. The tripod plummeted straight toward her head.

"Watch out!" someone screamed.

The hall erupted in alarm — except for Goku's companions, who merely sighed.

"She got too full of herself," Xue Nu said helplessly, but she didn't look worried. Yue'er's body had been tempered by Goku's divine power; a fall like this couldn't harm her.

In a blur, Goku vanished from where he stood. When the onlookers blinked, he was beside Yue'er, one hand catching the falling tripod with effortless grace. He tapped her small nose with a finger.

"That's what happens when you get too proud," he teased gently.

Yue'er blushed scarlet. "It was just a little slip!"

Seeing no harm done, the Mo disciples finally exhaled in relief. Master Ban and the others stepped forward.

Goku weighed the tripod in his palm, then looked to Shaoyu. "Not bad, kid. To lift this at your age — that's impressive."

"Big Brother Goku, don't tease me," Shaoyu said with a sheepish smile. "I'm nothing compared to Yue'er…"

"Yue'er was trained by me from childhood," Goku said lightly. "You can't compare — but you're still talented."

He flipped the tripod upward with a casual motion; it spun high, and when it came down, he stopped it with one finger.

Gasps filled the hall. The enormous bronze tripod spun like a toy on that single fingertip, humming as the air whooshed around it.

"He—he's not human…"

"No one could possibly—"

Even Shaoyu stood gaping, awe written across his face. "Big Brother Goku… that's unbelievable!"

Goku chuckled. "Like it? Want to learn?"

"What? You mean—" Shaoyu's heart nearly stopped. The man before him was the living legend — the one said to have defeated armies alone — and he wanted to teach him?

"I don't take disciples," Goku said calmly, lowering the tripod. "But with your potential, I can grant you a cultivation art."

He released the tripod. It landed soundlessly, not even cracking the floor. The sheer control left every master present breathless.

---

With the contest over, the Mo disciples dispersed, leaving only the core members and senior figures behind.

"An art? What kind of art?" Shaoyu asked, eyes alight. To learn directly from Goku — the world's strongest man — was beyond his wildest dreams.

"Here." Goku flicked his wrist. A weathered scroll appeared in midair and drifted toward Shaoyu.

The young man caught it reverently and read the bold four characters on the cover —

Overlord's Golden Body Technique (Bawang Jinshen Jue)

A surge of pride and power seemed to roar from the pages. He could almost see himself on the battlefield — spear in hand, invincible amid ten thousand foes. His blood boiled with excitement.

"The Overlord's Golden Body Technique?" he said, grinning. "I like the name already."

This was no ordinary manual. Goku had created it himself, specifically for Shaoyu. To someone like him — a being who ruled worlds — crafting such a technique was child's play. But to the people of this world, this was a divine scripture, a treasure that could shake empires.

Goku said calmly, "This art focuses on tempering the body. It also includes a domineering spear style for battlefield combat. You were born with great strength, destined to fight amidst armies. With this technique, you'll become a true 'army-breaker' — able to take a general's head amid thousands."

Shaoyu's hands trembled slightly as he clutched the scroll. His heart swelled with awe and gratitude.

For the first time, he truly understood why they called this man Big Brother Goku — not for his power alone, but for the vast, fearless heart that carried it.
