Thinking of the dimensional power lodged inside Goku, greed stirred in Yuanmie's heart. If he could seize that power, it would greatly aid his recovery. Fortune favors the bold—he'd risk it. Even if he couldn't win, he could still run, couldn't he? With that, his expression turned feral. Demonic qi surged, his aura exploded, and the space around them finally began to collapse under the pressure.
Yuanmie's sudden move made the goddess knit her brows, worry flashing across her face.
"Get farther back. With your strength you can't join this fight," Goku said, tone grave.
The goddess nodded and slipped far away. From the moment Yuanmie arrived, she had known: his power was beyond anything she could contend with.
"I thought you'd be too scared to start. Since you're not—let's stretch our limbs."
Goku chuckled, utterly unafraid. His aura climbed; crimson light speared the void, hair whipping wildly—
in a breath, he transformed into a Super Saiyan God.
---
Two streaks of light clashed in the void—one a tide of demonic shadow, the other a blaze of crimson. Their collision shook creation.
With a thunderous boom, the goddess's domain fractured in layers, becoming a swath of black, airless space. Chaos-mist boiled; time-space storms, freed from spatial constraints, roared across the sky. Yet those terrifying tempests shattered instantly when they touched the shockwaves of the duel.
Goku formed a blade of light in his hand and, without a word, cleaved forward. Red radiance flooded the world—decisive and lethal. Injured and forced to suppress the Destruction Law inside him, he could not afford a war of attrition. He struck to end it in one blow.
"Hah! You're not the only one who can do that!"
Yuanmie roared. A black lightsaber flared to life in his hand, spilling abyssal brilliance as demonic fire billowed, drowning the sky.
He, too, wanted a quick battle. With his wounds and lingering weakness, a long fight was a losing proposition—so he went all out from the start.
The void trembled; Sky boomed. A cataract of darkness rolled down like an overturned Milky Way.
Goku vaulted higher. His lightblade gleamed with ruinous luster, sword-qi arching like a rainbow—no wild savagery, no showy edge, only an unyielding will.
A ten-thousand-kilometers arc descended. Winds screamed; the glow dazzled; divine might shook the quarters—
as though the sky itself would be split in two.
Watching from afar, even the goddess blanched. She had known they were strong—she had not known they were this strong. Worse, by their own admission both were badly injured and still holding back…
A bitter smile touched her lips. At this rate, her world would be destroyed by their duel. And she could do nothing—this was far beyond her reach.
Clang!
Demonic blade and invincible sword-light crashed together, and the airless zone cracked wider, exploding into ruin. The realm neared annihilation; the goddess's face changed drastically.
The two blades locked, stalemated in midair. The chaotic void expanded, and the dead zone spread at terrifying speed—downward, into the lower world. The sky split open, the rift racing outward; darkness swallowed everything.
Space collapsed; the land vanished. Thunder fell like rain. The world seemed to end.
The ground convulsed and tore into bottomless chasms. Houses crumpled; rubble sprawled; the dead and wounded were countless; screams filled the air. It was an extinction-level calamity. People cowered in hopeless terror.
Tears slid from the goddess's eyes as she watched the mortal realm. She lifted her face to the duel and pleaded, "Please—stop! If you continue, this world will be destroyed!"
She was a kind goddess, compassionate at heart. Seeing her people suffer tore her soul. But their battle could not end with a plea. If anything, the power on both sides swelled—each meant to finish the other.
"Heh, Yuanmie! To think you're this weak now—you can't even handle me while I'm injured, yet you still picked this fight. Careful you don't drown in a gutter," Goku laughed, disdain bright in his eyes—and excitement, too. If he could take Yuanmie here, the gains would be immense.
"Don't celebrate yet," Yuanmie snapped. "The gap between us isn't something raw power will bridge."
Demonic qi surged; black runes crawled across his aura, radiating Destruction that devoured all as it swept toward Goku. The realm shattered to pieces in an instant.
"Enough!"
The goddess, pushed past her limit, raised her voice in anger for the first time in her life. She flashed forward, bathed in rainbow light and overflowing with life. Complete laws unfurled in her hands; she summoned her world's greatest power to block Yuanmie's strike.
Color blazed, life blossomed—
and crumpled at once beneath pure destruction, pierced through and blown apart. The remaining force hurtled straight at the goddess. The dimensions were too far apart; even wounded, Yuanmie still outclassed her.
'So this is the end? To perish with my world…'
She closed her eyes and waited for oblivion.
"You brainless woman—what are you doing?! Didn't I tell you to get clear? Want to die that badly?"
A furious shout cracked the air at her ear. She opened her eyes—and a foot slammed into her chest. Impact boomed through her body as she shot away like a falling star.
"Good elasticity… almost bounced me off," Goku muttered, savoring the lingering softness against his right foot.
He would have preferred to catch her in a princess carry, but both hands were occupied holding back Yuanmie's sky-rending blade. With no choice and no time, he kicked her out of danger.
Far off, the goddess righted herself, chest burning and tingling with a strange after-sensation. Color flooded her face—mortified and angry all at once. For a lofty goddess to be saved by a kick to the chest… she would almost rather have died. Yet he had been saving her, and she was too kind to hold anger long.
She was safe—but the sea of destructive law now crashed straight at Goku.
---
A wild joy broke over Yuanmie's face. He could already see Goku being erased by his Destruction Law. The disparity was simply too vast; even at full strength Goku would struggle to escape—much less now, injured.
"Look out!"
Even the goddess cried out, forgetting her embarrassment.
But as the Destruction tide rushed in, Goku's eyes lit with delight. "Been waiting for this."
At a thought, a seven-colored divine pearl burst from his brow. As if sentient, it sensed the Destruction and, without needing his guidance, charged headlong to meet it.
Endless dimensional power poured from the Dimensional God Pearl and crashed into the oncoming sea of annihilation. There was no thunderclap—only prismatic light washing over the darkness, swallowing and assimilating it bit by bit.
Seeing his own law devoured, Yuanmie's face changed. "The Dimensional God Pearl?! Goku, you bastard—you set me up! No wonder you dared fight me! Damn you, Dimensional God—just you wait, I'll never let this go!"
Roaring, Yuanmie flashed forward, fist wreathed in demonic might. He hurled a heaven-shaking punch. The void trembled; the realm's space collapsed again, faster and worse than before.
"Hah! You want to posture? I'll smash you flat!"
Goku flicked his thoughts. The pearl, still feeding on Destruction, snapped into a rainbow streak and speared toward Yuanmie. Too fast to dodge.
Pain lanced Yuanmie's chest; blood spattered. The pearl punched clean through him. As a crystallization of the Dimensional God's law and power, it naturally wounded him deeply. With a single strike it worsened his injuries; the dimensional power spread through him, and the pain twisted his face. He tore back, demonic qi flooding the wound as he spun his own laws to force the dimensional power out.
"Bastard! I'll tear you limb from limb!"
Humiliation burned. Since his unsealing he had known nothing but misfortune; every world he entered left him broken, and now a so-called "ant" had wounded him. It was an outrage.
His killing intent boiled over. Demonic qi surged to the void; his hair bristled; his eyes went blood-red. Murderous intent congealed into a crimson haze around him. Blood ran from the corner of his mouth; cracks opened across his battered body beneath the strain. He did not care. His glare fixed on Goku—kill.
'Damn—he's going for broke.'
Goku's face hardened. At a thought, the Dimensional God Pearl dropped back into his brow. He blurred and vanished into the void, fleeing at top speed.
"Don't you dare run!"
Yuanmie howled, demonic qi flooding the sky as he gave chase.
Goku weaved through space, dodging pursuit while guiding the pearl within his body. Prismatic light threaded through every cell, shielding him. Then he released the Destruction the pearl had just consumed and drove it into the sealed residue of Destruction already lodged inside him.
The Dragon Ball Sovereign's Destruction and Yuanmie's Destruction collided—
and detonated with a terrifying surge that tore through Goku's body. Even with dimensional protection he reeled, coughing blood as fissures crawled across his skin.
"Hell… I didn't expect two Destruction Laws colliding inside me to explode like this," he grimaced, forcing himself to a halt in midair.
Yuanmie arrived an instant later, laughing as he saw Goku's cracked, bleeding form. "Run! Why did you stop? Hahaha—karma's a marvel, isn't it? You thought my Destruction would be easy to swallow? Now my law and the one already in you are colliding… Heh. The result? Just wait to die!"
He laughed too hard and hacked up more blood, his face twisting. "Damn it—this time I'm worse off than fighting the Dimensional God!"
Then, seeing Goku's agony, he brightened, swept out a hand, conjured a chair, and sat to watch. Goku's pain was his pleasure. After all, his current sorry state—wasn't it all Goku's fault?
Inside Goku, two Destruction Laws raged and tore at each other. Even with the Dimensional God's power guarding him, his insides were being wrecked piece by piece.
