Chapter 50 - How Easy Is It to Find a Fated Mate

A quiet voice spoke up from the Omega section.

"How easy is it to find a Fated Mate?"

The room shifted slightly, students turning toward the girl who had asked.

She looked nervous, but genuinely curious.

The instructor chuckled, crossing his arms.

"That depends," he mused. "Some people never find theirs. Others meet them when they least expect it."

A few Betas nodded, considering that.

"But statistically speaking," the instructor continued, "only about 5% of werewolves ever meet their Fated Mate."

The class fell silent.

Only 5%?

Nene raised an eyebrow.

"Wait," she muttered. "So the chances are ridiculously low?"

The instructor nodded.

"Yes. Which is why most werewolves don't waste time waiting for one," he explained. "Most Alphas, Betas, and Omegas choose mates based on compatibility, not instinct."

The Omega girl fidgeted slightly.

"So… if someone thinks they found their Fated Mate, what should they be careful about?"

The instructor smirked.

"Oh, that's easy," he said smoothly. "Don't sleep with them immediately."

The room froze.

Then—chaos.

A few Betas burst out laughing.

A couple of Omegas turned bright red.

Even some Alphas looked vaguely uncomfortable.

Nene?

She just sighed, dragging a hand down her face.

The instructor chuckled, clearly entertained.

"I'm being serious," he continued. "If you're Fated Mates, then your instincts will push for bonding immediately. And if that happens—"

He turned back to the board, writing out the next warning.

Fated Mate Instincts—What to Watch Out For

Increased possessiveness & aggression if separated.

Physical contact intensifies the bond.

Mating too soon results in pregnancy 99% of the time.

The class went silent.

Then—a Beta male near the back coughed.

"Wait, what?"

The instructor grinned.

"You heard me," he said smoothly. "If a Fated Mate bond is triggered and you mate, expect a baby in nine months."

Nene stiffened slightly.

Because that?

That was a problem.

The Omega girl turned bright red.

"So Fated Mates don't have a choice?"

The instructor shrugged.

"You do have a choice," he said. "But your instincts won't make it easy for you."

A few Omegas shifted uncomfortably.

Nene huffed, crossing her arms.

"So basically," she muttered, "if someone thinks they found their Fated Mate, their best option is to not jump into bed immediately?"

The instructor chuckled.

"Exactly," he said smoothly. "Unless you want to start a family right away."

The class fell into awkward silence.

And Nene?

She stared at the board, her stomach twisting slightly.

The class was still processing the last revelation when the instructor turned back to the board, smirking.

"Alright," he said smoothly. "Now let's go over the rules of behavior toward mates and Fated Mates."

A few Betas straightened up.

A few Omegas looked curious.

And Nene?

She just waited, arms crossed, trying not to overthink the last conversation.

The instructor started writing.

1. Standard Mate Etiquette (Chosen Mates)

Respect the mate bond. Once a mate is claimed, no one else may interfere.

No direct challenges unless legally justified. (Ex: abuse, neglect, or betrayal.)

Physical touch should be kept minimal unless invited. Even for Betas and Omegas.

Mates hold legal decision-making rights over each other in emergencies.

A Beta near the front frowned.

"So normal mates don't have the same level of… intensity?"

The instructor nodded.

"Correct. Chosen Mates have a structured relationship, based on personal agreements rather than biological instincts."

A pause.

Then—smooth, amused—

"But Fated Mates?"

He tapped the board.

"That's where things get complicated."

2. Fated Mate Etiquette (Instinct-Based Bonds)

No one may interfere, ever. (Any attempt to challenge the bond is seen as an act of aggression.)

An Alpha with a Fated Mate is significantly more possessive and territorial. (Expect extreme reactions to perceived threats.)

Physical contact between Fated Mates is instinctually reinforced. (Touch = comfort, separation = distress.)

Fated Mates override all previous commitments. (If an Alpha was engaged before finding their Fated Mate, the previous engagement is automatically nullified.)

The class went silent again.

A Beta boy in the back coughed awkwardly.

"That last one," he muttered. "You're saying if an Alpha is already engaged to someone else, but then finds their Fated Mate… the engagement just ends?"

The instructor nodded.

"Yes," he said smoothly. "Because the biological connection is absolute. A previous engagement or chosen mate bond cannot compete."

A few students looked uneasy.

Nene tapped her fingers against the desk, frowning.

"So if an Alpha has a Fated Mate, their behavior changes?" she asked.

The instructor smirked slightly.

"Drastically," he confirmed.

3. How Alphas Behave With Fated Mates

They will react aggressively to rivals or threats.

They will prioritize their mate's safety over all other duties.

They may exhibit stronger territorial behavior, including restricting their mate's movements.

Separation causes agitation, possessiveness, or withdrawal symptoms.

Nene gritted her teeth.

Because that sounded… familiar.

Too familiar.

The instructor glanced at the class, his tone amused but firm.

"Put simply," he said, "if an Alpha has a Fated Mate, expect them to act like a possessive, territorial lunatic."

A few Betas laughed.

A few Omegas looked uncomfortable.

And Nene?

She just stared at the board, her stomach twisting.

Because if this was true…

Then she was starting to realize that Alexander's behavior wasn't just about dominance.

The instructor chuckled, clearly enjoying the tension in the room.

"Now," he mused, "since some of you might be wondering what happens when people ignore these rules—let's talk about real cases of Betas behaving stupidly around Alpha mates."

The class perked up immediately.

A few students leaned forward, intrigued.

Even the Betas who had been quiet before looked suddenly invested.

Because nothing was more entertaining than front-page disasters.

The instructor turned back to the board, writing two infamous cases.

1. The Beta Who Thought He Could Flirt With an Alpha's Mate

→ Case: Socialite He Jian & Alpha Fang Rui's Fated Mate (Global Scandal, Three Years Ago)

He Jian was a rich Beta socialite known for flirting with high-status mates.

He ignored warnings that Fang Rui—an Apex Alpha—had just found his Fated Mate.

He publicly touched the mate's waist at a gala, thinking the Alpha wouldn't react in a formal setting.

Fang Rui nearly ripped his throat out in front of hundreds of guests.

The class went dead silent.

Then—laughter.

A Beta boy near the front wheezed.

"He touched an Alpha's Fated Mate?" he repeated. **"In public?*"

The instructor grinned.

"Yes," he said smoothly. "And if the security team hadn't stepped in, He Jian wouldn't be alive right now."

A few Omegas looked horrified.

A few Betas shook their heads.

Nene huffed, shaking her head.

"Why would anyone be that stupid?"

The instructor chuckled.

"Because he thought money and social status would protect him," he said smoothly. "It didn't."

He tapped the board, moving to the next case.

2. The Beta Secretary Who Didn't Know When to Shut Up

→ Case: Business Executive Tan Cheng & Alpha Leader Yan Zhi's Mate (Corporate Lawsuit, Five Years Ago)

Tan Cheng was a Beta assistant to Alpha leader Yan Zhi.

He made multiple passive-aggressive comments about Yan Zhi's Omega mate in corporate meetings.

He implied the mate wasn't 'qualified' to influence pack business.

Yan Zhi personally fired him on the spot and blacklisted him from the entire industry.

A Beta girl near the back winced.

"So he thought an Alpha would just let him disrespect their mate?" she muttered.

The instructor nodded.

"Yes," he confirmed. "And now? No one in the business world will hire him."

A few students nodded, taking notes.

Because this?

This was the kind of mistake you only made once.

The instructor smirked slightly, glancing around.

"The moral of the story?" he mused.

A pause.

Then—smooth, amused—

"If you value your life, your job, or your reputation—don't mess with an Alpha's mate."

The class nodded quickly.
