Chapter 442 - Chapter 446: The Old Supreme Kai’s Worry

Chapter 446: The Old Supreme Kai's Worry

In the Realm of the Kais, the Old Supreme Kai had been keeping a close watch on how events were unfolding.

What he feared most was Beerus encountering Son Goku and Uchiha Dali.

And now, that very situation had occurred—though, fortunately, not as disastrously as he had first imagined.

He had thought things might settle down peacefully across the universe, but to his dismay, Beerus, still brooding over his fight with Uchiha Dali, refused to let it go—and had actually begun training again.

This threw the Old Supreme Kai into utter panic.

Seeing his ancestor pacing back and forth like an ant on a hot pan, hands clasped behind his back, Kibito grew curious.

He cautiously asked, "Ancestor, what's wrong?"

"What's wrong?"

The Old Supreme Kai stopped and glared at him in annoyance. "Can't you sense it at all?"

Chastised, Kibito looked aggrieved and showed an innocent expression, waiting patiently for an explanation.

The Old Supreme Kai let out a long sigh. "By now, you must have at least sensed something, right? Lord Beerus has resumed training…"

"Y-yes, I did sense that, Ancestor. But… what's wrong with that?"

Kibito still couldn't understand.

In his view, as the God of Destruction and co-ruler of the universe alongside the Supreme Kais, it was perfectly natural for Beerus to pursue greater power through training.

He couldn't understand why his ancestor seemed so anxious.

Seeing his reaction, the Old Supreme Kai gave him another exasperated look—utterly disappointed.

He took a deep breath, shook his head helplessly, and explained further, "Lord Beerus hasn't trained for an incredibly long time."

"At least, not since seventy-five million years ago. Before sealing me inside the Z Sword seventy-five million years ago, he had already gone more than two hundred million years without any training. For him to suddenly resume now… it's far too unusual."

"This isn't like him at all!"

As he spoke, he started pacing again, shaking his head in frustration.

His face was filled with tension and unease, and even Kibito began to feel worried seeing him like that.

Cautiously, Kibito asked, "Ancestor… do you mean Lord Beerus is doing this because of someone?"

"Exactly!"

The Old Supreme Kai stopped walking once Kibito finally caught on. "Lord Beerus hasn't trained seriously in countless ages. He wouldn't so much as spend a single minute on it before."

"But now he's training with such dedication—and even having Whis personally guide him. That can only mean one thing: someone has caught Lord Beerus's attention."

"And in Beerus's eyes, that opponent must be someone he cannot currently defeat. That's the only reason he'd start training again."

"There's only one person who could make Lord Beerus take things this seriously."

At that, the Old Supreme Kai's expression grew deeply troubled.

Kibito instinctively blurted out, "The Super Saiyan God?"

The Old Supreme Kai immediately rolled his eyes again.

His look clearly said: How did someone this dense ever become the East Supreme Kai?

He shook his head. "The Super Saiyan God may sound impressive, but I doubt that's enough to truly make Lord Beerus wary. The one who's really drawn his attention must be someone else."

"Uchiha Dali?!"

Kibito finally realized it.

"Exactly—Uchiha Dali."

The Old Supreme Kai nodded. "The Grand Priest personally took Uchiha Dali away, saying that the Grand Zeno wanted to see him. For Grand Zeno to take interest in someone—well, that alone proves Uchiha Dali is far from ordinary."

"After all, he's a deity who came here from a lower dimension. I suspect the opponent Beerus truly has in mind is none other than Uchiha Dali."

But this only left Kibito even more confused.

"But Ancestor, if Uchiha Dali is also a god, why would Lord Beerus treat him as an opponent? He hasn't done anything evil or destructive, has he…?"

The Old Supreme Kai gave him a look that clearly said, You're still too young, and slowly shook his head.

Then he explained, "I've told you before—Lord Beerus is unpredictable. His temper swings without rhyme or reason. He acts entirely on whim."

"Even if you try your best to please him, or even if your strength earns his respect, that doesn't mean he'll refrain from destroying things."

"So, for him to take Uchiha Dali seriously as an opponent is not strange at all."

"What truly worries me now is—if Lord Beerus and Uchiha Dali really fight seriously, it could bring utter catastrophe to the entire universe!"

"The Seventh Universe simply can't withstand the damage from both of them going all out…"

After he said this, the Old Supreme Kai's face grew even grimmer.

Though Supreme Kais themselves could not be destroyed, if the entire universe were obliterated, it would still spell their own doom.

Kibito, however, still didn't grasp the gravity of the situation. Smiling optimistically, he said, "Ancestor, aren't you worrying too much?"

"Sure, Lord Beerus's power is terrifying—if angered, he really could destroy the whole universe in an instant. But don't forget, we're here too."

"Even if Lord Beerus destroys planets, we can create new ones to replace them…"

"Idiot!"

The Old Supreme Kai instantly leapt up in anger and smacked him on the head.

Rubbing his head in confusion, Kibito shrank back. "Ancestor… was I wrong?"

"Of course you were!"

The Old Supreme Kai rolled his eyes furiously. "In the past, there were eighteen universes in the higher dimensions—the original universes. You know that much."

Kibito quickly nodded.

The Old Supreme Kai continued, "Then do you know why, now, there are only twelve universes left?"

He looked meaningfully at Kibito, who stared back in confusion before shaking his head—he didn't know.

The Old Supreme Kai sighed heavily.

Dealing with such a naïve, clueless junior was truly exhausting.

"Because those six universes once angered the Grand Zeno. So he erased them—completely."

"And the reason they angered him was simple: their overall scores were too low."
