Chapter 439: The Master of the Universe
The reason Uchiha Dali was so utterly shocked was because of the Grand Priest's power.
He had long known that the Grand Priest was powerful—he just hadn't realized the extent of it.
Before the Grand Priest appeared, Uchiha Dali hadn't sensed even the faintest trace of his presence.
And that was despite his Observation Haki being fully active due to his earlier battle with Beerus.
His domain of perception had already expanded to cover the entire Milky Way—perhaps even farther.
Yet, despite that, he hadn't noticed the Grand Priest's arrival in advance.
And once the Grand Priest appeared, Dali was even more astonished to find that he couldn't sense the depth of the man's power at all.
Observation Haki was supposed to reveal an opponent's strength level.
Not to mention, Dali's had been enhanced many times over and evolved into an advanced sensory domain.
Under such conditions, not being able to gauge the Grand Priest's strength was understandable.
But one shouldn't forget—Uchiha Dali himself was a god, one who had even broken through the barriers of dimensions.
Yet before the Grand Priest, he felt utterly insignificant.
Then, compared to the Grand Zeno, wouldn't he be even more trivial?
"So this is the strength of a top being in a higher dimension… It seems I still have a long way to go," he thought in awe.
At that moment, the Grand Priest continued, "First of all, welcome to the higher dimension, God from the lower realm—Uchiha Dali."
"The Grand Zeno already knows of your arrival and has sent me to escort you to the palace to meet him."
"The Grand Zeno… wants to see him?"
Just hearing the name made Beerus break out in a cold sweat, trembling uncontrollably.
Hearing his muttered words, the Grand Priest turned back toward him with a faint smile. "Oh, right—Lord Beerus. The Grand Zeno asked me to remind you to restrain yourself a little."
"Otherwise, this universe might cease to exist."
Beerus turned pale as death, hurriedly bowing and apologizing.
Uchiha Dali wasn't surprised at his reaction.
After all, the Grand Zeno had once destroyed six universes, leaving only twelve remaining.
And when those six were erased, their angels and destroyer gods vanished along with them.
Such was the terrifying power of the Grand Zeno—he could erase existence with a single thought.
"I wonder what the Grand Zeno wants to say to me…"
Dali thought silently, nodding toward the Grand Priest. "Thank you for guiding me."
"Then, let's go."
Without another word, the Grand Priest activated his power, vanishing with Dali in an instant before Beerus and Whis.
Left behind, Beerus still looked shaken, sweat running down his cheeks.
"I told you, Lord Beerus," Whis said, his tone a touch gleeful. "Your powers are about equal. If you really fought, the Grand Priest and the Grand Zeno would have definitely noticed."
Beerus gritted his teeth.
But then he smirked in his usual haughty way. "I'm hungry, Whis."
"Didn't you just eat a bento box?" Whis blinked in surprise.
"The fight earlier wasn't satisfying. I need good food to make up for it," Beerus replied.
...
Under the Grand Priest's lead, Uchiha Dali soon arrived at the palace where the Grand Zeno resided.
The moment they arrived, two tall, cylindrical-shaped guards stepped forward to block their path.
"This one is the highest god from the lower dimension. The Grand Zeno has summoned him," the Grand Priest explained.
Hearing that, the two guards allowed them to pass.
Dali deliberately tried to sense their auras—and was shocked again to find he couldn't gauge their strength either.
As the Grand Zeno's personal guards, their power was likely second only to the Grand Priest's.
"It seems I'm far weaker than even these two…" Dali thought quietly.
Following the Grand Priest, he entered through the grand temple doors.
The Grand Zeno—appearing almost childlike—sat upon his throne, waiting for them.
"Grand Zeno, I've brought Uchiha Dali," the Grand Priest reported respectfully.
"Wow! So you're the god who broke through the dimensional barrier and came here from the lower realm? You seem really strong!"
The Grand Zeno's cheerful tone was unexpected.
Dali had thought he might be scolded or interrogated, but instead, he was being praised.
"You flatter me, Your Majesty," Dali replied humbly.
Before such an overwhelming being, humility was the wisest approach.
"Grand Priest—so, which dimension is he from?" the Grand Zeno asked curiously.
"Your Majesty, since you erased six universes in the past, the lower realms linked to those universes were erased as well. Uchiha Dali comes from one of the lower realms corresponding to the twelve remaining universes."
"Then which universe is it?"
"It's from the 17th-dimensional universe, Your Majesty."
"Oh, I see! Uchiha Dali, what kind of reward would you like?" the Grand Zeno asked, looking at him again.
"A reward?" Dali scratched his head. "I'm not sure, Your Majesty."
"The dimensional barrier was created by me personally—to prevent lower gods from entering this realm. Since you managed to break through it, that proves how exceptional you are. Of course you deserve a reward."
The Grand Zeno spoke as though it were the most natural thing in the world.
"Well…"
Dali thought for a while but couldn't decide on anything.
After all, he already was a god—what more could he want?
Suddenly, a thought struck him. "Your Majesty, there's one question I'd like to ask."
"Oh? What question?" The Grand Zeno tilted his head, intrigued.
"I wanted to ask… does a dimension exist that's even higher than this one?"
Uchiha Dali didn't realize the weight of what he'd just said—he thought it was an ordinary question.
But the moment the words left his mouth, the Grand Priest and the two guards behind them froze, their expressions instantly changing.
Fortunately, the Grand Zeno wasn't angry. Instead, he looked thoughtful.
He rubbed his chin and said, "Hmm… I don't think there is."
"I see… I understand."
Dali felt a tinge of disappointment. He had expected there to be a higher plane beyond this one.
But it turned out—this was already the limit.
That meant the Grand Zeno truly was the eternal, supreme existence.
"Oh, right! How about I make you an angel?" the Grand Zeno suddenly said, his eyes lighting up with excitement.
