Chapter 387 - Chapter 391: Loss of Fighting Spirit

Chapter 391: Loss of Fighting Spirit

Kyōshiki, like his elder brother, also possessed numerous trump cards — but right now, he didn't dare to use any of them.

"That kid really just watched your technique once and then figured it out?"

"Feels a bit too outrageous, doesn't it?"

Kyōshiki looked unconvinced.

Àoshiki shot him a fierce glare. "You're the one who told me that brat has heaven-defying comprehension, and now you're asking me?"

"Let's split up, Kyōshiki!"

With that, Àoshiki turned and fled toward the rear.

He had no intention of staying behind to fight Uchiha Dali any longer.

Seeing his brother abandon him mid-battle, Kyōshiki's eyes hardened. "You… you're always like this!"

Although resentment surged in his chest, Kyōshiki didn't waste time either. He too began retreating — in the opposite direction from Àoshiki.

But in the next second, Uchiha Dali appeared before him, blocking his path.

"In such a hurry to leave?"

Uchiha Dali looked at him with a faint, teasing smile.

"Your comprehension really is heaven-defying."

Kyōshiki gritted his teeth, bitterness and unwillingness in his heart.

"Thanks for the compliment. So—are you going to give up and obediently become my nourishment, or should I do it myself?"

Although Uchiha Dali could no longer peer into their minds directly, he had already seen enough from their words and actions — both brothers had completely lost their will to fight.

Now that they had split up, it was the perfect time for him to crush them one by one.

"I won't just sit here and wait to die, Uchiha Dali."

"In that case, let's have a final, all-out battle!"

As soon as Kyōshiki finished speaking, he unleashed all his power.

In an instant, his aura surged dozens of times stronger — clearly one of his trump cards.

Uchiha Dali raised a brow in mild surprise.

At that moment, Kyōshiki said, "Within the Ōtsutsuki clan's sacred land lies the powerful energy left behind by our ancestor Ōtsutsuki Shibai."

"Àoshiki came here precisely to claim that power."

"Oh? Thanks for the explanation."

"But I'll still have to take you down. You betrayed me first, Kyōshiki — don't blame me for being ruthless."

Uchiha Dali spoke naturally, almost casually.

Kyōshiki shook his head. "I'm not begging for mercy, nor do I have any other intention. I told you that because I want you to know — I'll use every last ounce of strength to stop you."

"I'll buy Àoshiki enough time. Once he gains Shibai's power, he'll evolve to the next level. By then, with just one finger, he'll be able to crush you."

"You'll never get the chance to destroy us."

As soon as he finished, Kyōshiki launched a frenzied, storm-like assault toward Uchiha Dali.

But Dali only found the situation amusing.

"Didn't you say earlier that you and your brother were sworn enemies? And now you're willing to sacrifice yourself to help him?"

"Should I call that noble—or just plain stupid?"

"Well, it doesn't matter. Absorbing your energy will benefit me greatly. Tell me, when Àoshiki obtains your ancestor's power, will it really surpass the growth I'll gain after absorbing yours?"

Those words made Kyōshiki's face change drastically.

He truly didn't want to die — but if his sacrifice could let Àoshiki live and defeat Uchiha Dali, he had been willing to accept it.

Yet now, Uchiha Dali's words cut straight into his heart.

Indeed, his energy was massive — no weaker than Àoshiki's.

If he died here and Dali absorbed his power, then even if Àoshiki found the strength left by Shibai, could he really defeat an evolved Uchiha Dali?

That was uncertain.

Realization struck him like lightning. Kyōshiki suddenly felt he and Àoshiki had been far too naïve.

Uchiha Dali might not be defeated at all.

A deep regret welled within him — regret for being impulsive, for turning on Uchiha Dali without fully thinking it through.

Now, the situation was only getting worse for the brothers.

In truth, Uchiha Dali had said all that deliberately — to unsettle Kyōshiki.

And it worked perfectly.

In the instant Kyōshiki's focus faltered, Uchiha Dali made his move.

"Heavenly Authority: Planetary Devastation!"

Dali unleashed his sealing technique against Kyōshiki.

The area was vast, filled with countless meteors.

Even though his earlier battle with Àoshiki had destroyed many of them, plenty still remained.

As Dali activated Planetary Devastation, innumerable meteors from all directions began converging toward them.

Drawn by a tiny, black-hole-like sphere, they layered one over another, wrapping tightly around Kyōshiki.

"You won't succeed!"

Kyōshiki knew exactly what Dali intended.

Once bound, he'd be completely at the other man's mercy — absorbed and devoured, his energy stolen.

He couldn't let that happen.

Kyōshiki counterattacked frantically — fists, palms, and blade-shaped shockwaves blasted in every direction.

"Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!"

Countless meteors shattered and exploded into dust.

But it was useless.

More meteors kept pouring in, and even the fragments and dust from those destroyed still fell under the gravitational pull of Planetary Devastation.

Even broken apart, they continued to gather around him.

In just a few moments, Kyōshiki's body was buried under layers of ultra-dense rock and dust — immobilized, like meat on a chopping block.

"I'll deal with you later."

Uchiha Dali didn't finish him off right away. Instead, he turned and dashed after Àoshiki.

The latter hadn't gone far — he was still nearby, searching for the entrance to the Ōtsutsuki sacred land.

Naturally, his goal was to locate the power left behind by Ōtsutsuki Shibai and gain strength equal to Uchiha Dali's.

Uchiha Dali didn't know exactly what Shibai had left behind — but he knew one thing for certain: he couldn't let Àoshiki succeed.

With a single Body Flicker, he appeared behind Àoshiki.

Sensing danger instantly, Àoshiki spun around and, without hesitation, released a blinding beam of light, slashing straight toward Uchiha Dali's head.
