We walked side by side along the quiet evening street, our hands gently holding each other. The cool breeze felt nice after the warm day, and the orange glow of the setting sun made everything look soft and beautiful. Dry leaves moved across the pavement near our feet as we talked about what to do.
"So, where should we go first?" I asked, swinging our hands a little.
Aeri thought for a moment, then smiled. "How about we watch a movie together before dinner? There's a new one I wanted to see."
"That sounds perfect," I replied. "Movie first, then we can eat something nice afterward."
After a few more minutes of light discussion, we finally decided on the plan. I took out my phone and pressed the button to call a cab.
*Beep*
"I guess I should buy a car now already," I said, looking at Aeri. "What do you say?"
"Umm… that's up to you, Ezra," she replied slowly, careful with her words. "But do you have that much capital on you?"
