Adam caught a glimpse of someone who looked exactly like Magic Amy. For a split second, he almost turned into Howard spotting his half-brother out of nowhere, ready to spin around to Bernadette (or Juno, in this case) and whine in a low, pitiful voice, "Quick, something weird's going on here! ~" 😂

Good thing Juno wasn't behind him right now. And he's no wimp like Howard either. Plus, he trusts Juno—his nutty, borderline dangerous ex-girlfriend shouldn't be popping up in his life again. So, the situation seemed pretty clear: this woman who looked identical to Magic Amy was probably just a doppelgänger. No biggie, right?

Still, even though he told himself that, Magic Amy had left too deep an impression on him. Seeing someone who could be her twin wandering around made him seriously uneasy. Like Juno once said, he's not the same guy he used to be. The old Adam might've dodged the issue, but the new Adam? He faces problems head-on and deals with them.

With that in mind, he quietly started tailing her. Let's see who this mystery woman really is.

"Hi, Derek."

"Hi, Marla."

Adam followed from a distance and watched as this "Magic Amy" lookalike strolled up to Dr. Shepherd's office. She knocked, and when Shepherd opened the door, they hugged—pretty chummy, huh? The name "Marla" instantly rang a bell. Adam's memory flashed to Kate mentioning a professional guardian named Marla Grayson. Could it be her? His curiosity piqued, but he didn't get closer. Hospitals are gossip mills—someone would spill the beans soon enough, and he'd find out who she was without sticking his neck out.

Sure enough, by the afternoon, he'd picked up the scoop without even trying. Dr. Shepherd's visitor was indeed Marla Grayson—Kate's colleague Frankie's girlfriend and a rising star among professional guardians, rumored to have some shady deal with Judge Judy Loomis. How'd it come up? Easy. After Marla left, Shepherd was in surgery, and during the usual OR chit-chat, a nurse straight-up asked, "Dr. Shepherd, is she your new girlfriend?" That broke him instantly. 😂 He scrambled to explain everything, desperate to avoid any rumors that might mess with his reconciliation with Meredith.

Turns out, Shepherd and Marla share a mutual friend, Dr. Karen Amos—a former classmate of his who now runs her own clinic as a community doctor. When Shepherd moved to New York, they reconnected, and Marla, being tight with Amos and a total charmer, quickly hit it off with Shepherd too. She'd just dropped by to say hi—nothing more. Oh, and Shepherd subtly hinted at her "preferences," making it clear there was no funny business.

In this American TV drama world, doppelgängers with totally different lives are everywhere. Take How I Met Your Mother—Matthew's double is a mustached ad actor, Lily's is a stripper, Ted's is a Mexican wrestler who beats up robots, and Robin's is a tomboy tossing a baseball and spitting on the street. And that's just one show! In this mashed-up TV universe, it gets even wilder. Barney Stinson might be living it up in New York, but his double? He's tied to Adam in a big way—one of Magic Amy's admirers who, without Adam in the picture, would've ended up a lovesick simp, throat slit in some tragic twist. 😬

Once Adam confirmed this wasn't Magic Amy, he let it go. He worked a normal shift, gave Alice Grey her extra tutoring, then headed back to his apartment. That's when he called Juno to share the story as a funny little anecdote.

"Juno, you'll never guess who I saw today…"

"What, her name's Marla Grayson?"

Juno teased him a bit over the phone, but when he mentioned Magic Amy's doppelgänger's name, she perked up, surprised.

"You've heard of her?" Adam asked, caught off guard.

"Oh yeah," Juno said with a playful edge. "She and us? We've got some serious karmic ties. I'd only heard about her from Caroline before, but I had no idea she looked like that. Now I've got a face to go with the name."

"Caroline?" Adam frowned. "You mean Marla and Caroline have beef?"

"Marla applied to be a caregiver at Ellis Nursing Home once," Juno explained. "She's got this deceptive vibe, so Caroline saw potential and took her under her wing. But once Marla learned the ropes, she pitched this 'genius' collaboration idea to Caroline. She'd gotten her professional guardian license and suggested they team up—Marla would bring in the clients, Caroline would provide the resources, and together they'd turn Ellis into a powerhouse. Start with one nursing home, then scale it into a full-blown empire: real estate, guardian training, medical services, pharmaceuticals—the works. Oh, and of course, a slick 'Pizza Hut-level' legal team to top it off. Later, she'd set up hundreds of shell companies overseas, juggling invoices, hiding profits, and dodging taxes—all legal, of course. And for that, she wanted half the shares. You know, 'traffic is king, operations are queen' and all that."

"Caroline shot her down hard and sent her packing," Juno continued. "Not long after, Marla's name started popping up again, louder than ever. The infuriating part? She stole Caroline's 'I care!' slogan, parroting it everywhere, copying her vibe to look like some big-hearted saint. Total con artist move."

"…She's a real piece of work," Adam said, half-impressed. Forget her scheming empty-handed—her sheer ambition was wild. Starting from nothing and dreaming up a multinational conglomerate, with a plan that actually sounded legit? Wow.

"She's dangerous too," Juno warned. "Caroline ran into her later and called her out. Guess what she said?"

"What?" Adam asked, leaning in.

"She didn't even flinch," Juno said, clearly having dissected Marla's mindset. "She told Caroline, 'Fair competition? That's just a lie rich people made up to keep poor folks down.' Then she went full-on: 'I'm not falling for it. There's only two kinds of people in this world—those who exploit and those who get exploited. Predators and prey. Lions and sheep. Me? I'm no damn sheep—I'm a freaking lioness!'" 😠
