The Canadian wind was at full force, the pure white snow was flying with the wind, and any poor creature caught out in the open would feel the pain of being poked 1000 times. Those inside, protected from the harsh cold, suffered a different problem.
"Fuuuck, it's so horrid out." No Matter how long I've stayed here, this godforsaken wind and snow are still horrible, not to mention the other more pressing problems. I, for one, am not accustomed to the cold, while it sucked being put into New York in Marvel, Canada, and this cold is freezing my bones.
He grabbed his breakfast coffee and took a huge gulp of it. He looked shabby, and while his more handsome features were still present, the bags under his eyes and his frozen hair made him look like a 9-5 worker, unfortunately caught in the storm, even though he made more money than the entire coffee shop and its customers.
Today is the day I return to the States, and I don't want to admit how happy I am. No hate to Canada, of course; it's just... how do I put it, the snow and wind are a devious duo that I don't want to have any more contact with. I mean, I know New York has its fair share of snow and freakish winds, but it's so much more livable, excluding the Fact that this is Marvel, of course.
Ahh, well, Canada, this is my goodbye! He stood up from his worn seat and made his way out of the cafe; no one would remember him at all. He jumped into his truck and drove off into the snow curtain.
He arrived at the destination soon enough and made his way inside. The place was a secluded cabin in the woods near the border, which had been occupied by the foundation for their entire stay in Canada. They didn't know who owned this cabin, but from its original abandoned look, it was clear that, for the time being, nobody was coming and sniffing around.
The MTF had renovated the cabin from the inside enough to make its intended use work, while keeping the exterior looking like a mess. With the soft footsteps in the snow, Ant opened the door and shut it behind him.
"Well, it's time; we are returning to America!" No one except him said anything, and there was no body language suggesting they were just as excited, which would make sense since they are supposed to work worldwide.
Ant was not flustered; he had come to accept his MTF to be very shy and introverted. Maybe it had to do with the type of anomalies they dealt with, but an answer was not needed right now.
They had been scheming about how they would leave Canada without getting caught by the unusually active border patrol, and they had come to the very clear conclusion that a huge snowstorm would be perfect, with the snowstorm hitting most of the border; it was perfect cover, especially with the secret card they had up their sleeve.
"Alright, guys, load up into the snowmobiles. At about 4 pm, we're heading out for the forest full speed, stop for nothing. We need to make it past before any thermals can be used to easily pinpoint all of us." This had already been drilled into everyone's head, but it never hurt to give one last basic reminder
They will split up, and each individual will zoom straight past anybody and anything inside the forest into New York. Ant was skeptical at first, but then he remembered he should be the least afraid because of his incredibly useful power; he readily agreed when he recalled that very crucial piece of information.
Ant put on a white puff coat and some black goggles, then got onto his snowmobile. He was very excited; he had never ridden one of these things before, not even when they first came into their hands.
He gripped the bars and launched himself forward on the thick snow. The MTF didn't launch after him; they had to use themselves as a diversion to pull away all the heat from the CSIS and the RCMP. They need to work under someone better.
[Canadian Intelligence]
They have been searching relentlessly for the MTF; they had stolen snowmobiles that belonged to them and left a poor agent hanging from the pants, exposing his most important part to the frostbite wind; it had to be cut.
With their relentless searching, they had come up empty-handed, which was surprising in their eyes, but if they were to ask their neighbor about how to catch them, they would be courting death.
"This is horrible." A woman was pulling her face as she remarked; she was like a soda can under a crusher at the moment. She was the one who had her snowmobiles stolen from right under her nose, and ever since, she was not able to look at the man who lost his little him the same.
"Still nothing?" That was the hundredth time she asked, and no matter what, she always got the same answer, except it was her lucky day today.
"OH OH, WE GOT SOMETHING!" The originally buzzing room turned silent, as the woman whose brain was pumping pure adrenaline and dopamine when she heard those words.
If Lady Luck could speak, she would say: "I didnt smile?"
Everyone gathered around the screen watching the satellite footage of a group of people riding across the snowy terrain on very clearly emblazoned snowmobiles of their department.
The news travelled up the chain of command, including foreign intelligence, and when it was confirmed, many units deployed with the goal of capture and questioning later.
As for the foreign intelligence who saw the report, they were interested to a degree, but unwilling to get involved; as for the Canadian neighbors who saw the report, they were already cracking up a plan.
[With the MC]
Ant was cruising; his lack of experience made all the maneuvers he was doing a gamble. He was thoroughly enjoying himself; he had not a single worry in his heart. He knew that even if they saw him, they would pay little mind as he and the MTF worked hard to remove any semblance of the snowmobile from the others. As for the police, don't even ask, and if you do, tell yourself to stop skimming.
The conditions he was in reminded Ant of an SCP he and many others held in great revere, 096. Although he was not in the mountains yet. While he was thinking of 096 and many other mountain-related SCPs, a quinjet was following him. It had appeared not long after he started riding to the mountains.
The quinjet had set out for the MTF but had accidentally run into Ant, and inside the Quinjet there were some special people. It was Tony Stank and Fury himself, some true bigshots. The encounter, though unexpected, was not unwelcome. They hadn't paid Ant attention, but when they counted the MTF, they realised he was missing, so they circled back to where they saw Ant and were determined he was the missing person.
Fury told his agents to make a barrier at the mountain crossing into the USA; this time, Fury was not unprepared. He knew the power Ant held, and to make sure he couldn't use his powers to their full potential, he had spread everyone out across an absurd distance, and with the knowledge from Thor about mystic power, he was certain he could force him into a corner this time.
Fury was not keen on the idea of capture anymore; the number of failures beforehand had already convinced him that capture was a costly endeavor, but his superiors didn't agree; they wanted Ant and the foundation under the ground permanently like Hydra.
Tony Stark, who was travelling along, didn't get ready to fight Ant with the hacked intel from Shield; he already knew the danger Ant could be and was unsure if he could beat him. As for the MTF, he had a clearer chance of victory.
The quinjet that was following Ant soon left him and headed towards Ottawa, towards the cover group.
