"Yanran, in a moment I'll do my best to protect you and create an opening. When that happens, don't hesitate, and don't look back or try to help anyone. Remember — survival comes first. Run straight back to the sect," Yun Yun transmitted her voice quietly.
"What about you, Teacher?" Nalan Yanran asked anxiously upon hearing those words.
"As the Sect Master of Flower Sect, I cannot flee in battle and abandon my elders to save myself," Yun Yun said, her eyes flashing with unshakable resolve.
Boom!
As she spoke, her palm lashed out, sending a sharp gale forward that clashed violently with her opponent's attack.
"Jie jie, Sect Master Yun Yun, stop struggling. You won't escape today, so why resist? Besides, being favored by our Vice Sect Master should be considered a blessing for you. When the time comes, you and your disciple serving the same man — wouldn't that be quite the story?"
The one speaking was Yun Yun's opponent — a tall but extremely thin old man in black robes, his body as lean as a bamboo pole, and his laughter was shrill and hideous.
"Shameless scum!" Yun Yun gritted her silver teeth, her face cold and furious.
But deep inside, a sense of powerlessness rose.
The Profound Sky Sect had over a dozen people here. The leader was a middle-aged man dressed in luxurious purple robes, his skin unnaturally pale.
He hadn't even made a move yet. Instead, he stood there smiling faintly, his eyes locked on Yun Yun and Nalan Yanran — the master and disciple pair, both stunningly beautiful. As his gaze lingered, his tongue couldn't help but lick his lips, his eyes filled with lecherous hunger.
Such a pair of top-grade women — young, elegant, and rare. If he could make them his private playthings, countless people would die of envy. One of them happened to be the dignified Sect Master of Flower Sect.
"Liu Cang, are you trying to start an all-out war between Flower Sect and Profound Sky Sect?" Yun Yun's face darkened, her voice icy cold.
"Hehe, well, that wouldn't be ideal, of course," Liu Cang said with a chuckle.
"After all, you Flower Sect people still have a few old monsters in seclusion that are rather troublesome to deal with. But no matter — once I kill everyone else here and imprison you and your little disciple in Profound Sky Sect, who's going to know what happened?"
"Vice Sect Master, it's better to act quickly and finish them off," said a man behind him holding a purple fan, smiling slyly. "This Ancient Wasteland Region is full of ferocious beasts and other powerful factions. If someone happens to stumble across us, it could cause unnecessary trouble."
This man was Yaohua Liangjun — years ago, he had been involved in the struggle for the position of Flower Sect's Sect Master and had quite the grudge against Xiao Yan. He had even ambushed Xiao Yan afterward but ended up being severely injured and barely escaped with his life.
"Hmm, Yao Hua is right. If the Vice Sect Master joins in, we can take them down in no time," a sinister-looking old man said with a chilling grin.
Liu Cang smiled faintly and nodded. "Since that's the case, I'll lend a hand as well. No need to drag this out. Other than Yun Yun and her disciple, kill everyone else!"
The last sentence was directed at the Profound Sky Sect members.
"Yes!"
At his command, the Profound Sky Sect experts shouted in unison and unleashed their full power. Torrents of Dou Qi surged out as they surrounded Flower Sect's group completely.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Facing the Profound Sky Sect's all-out assault, the women of Flower Sect grew grim-faced. They desperately drew upon their Dou Qi, refusing to back down as they met the attacks head-on.
But they were clearly at a disadvantage. Everyone was injured from the earlier battles and relentless pursuit, with no time to recover. Their condition was far worse than that of their enemies. In such circumstances, it was inevitable that Flower Sect's side quickly fell into a losing position.
"Yanran, when I break through their encirclement, you must leave immediately," Yun Yun said softly with a faint sigh.
"Teacher, I'm not leaving."
Nalan Yanran bit her red lip tightly, her jade hand gripping her sword as she took a deep breath. "If you fall into their hands, Teacher, what meaning would my survival have? I'd rather die here with you."
"You foolish child…" Yun Yun sighed helplessly.
She could tell that Nalan Yanran had already made up her mind. Trying to persuade her further would be pointless. At this point, all they could do was fight with everything they had — if they could take down even one enemy, it would be worth it.
Bang!
Yun Yun's jade palm swept out, and an overwhelming burst of Dou Qi erupted, blasting Yaohua Liangjun back several meters, blood spurting from his mouth.
But almost instantly, Liu Cang's attack followed right after, giving her no time to breathe. Yun Yun immediately drew a deep breath and forced her Dou Qi up once more, meeting his attack head-on.
"Heh heh, Sect Master Yun Yun, stop resisting. Be good and come with me. Don't worry, when the time comes, I'll make sure to treat you very well," Liu Cang sneered, his palm strike forcing Yun Yun backward, her face turning pale.
Yun Yun's expression was icy. The Dou Qi within her surged to its limit, ignoring the boiling blood churning in her chest. Her palm winds roared, forming a fierce gale that sealed the space around her.
For a moment, even with Liu Cang and Yaohua Liangjun working together, they couldn't break through her defense.
Bang!
Suddenly, a muffled sound echoed from the side, followed by a slender figure being struck backward, blood spraying from her lips.
"Yanran!"
Seeing this, Yun Yun's face changed drastically. Her jade hand curved, and a surge of Dou Qi rolled out, catching the falling Nalan Yanran and pulling her back.
"Heh heh, you still dare to get distracted while fighting me?"
As Yun Yun rescued Nalan Yanran, a sinister figure flickered forward. His powerful palm wind slammed viciously onto Yun Yun's fragrant shoulder.
Pff~
The strike sent Yun Yun spitting blood, her body trembling as she clutched Nalan Yanran and staggered backward, crashing heavily into a giant boulder.
Boom!
The massive rock shuddered and cracked apart. Yun Yun's throat tightened, another mouthful of blood spurting out.
"Sect Master Yun Yun, when the Vice Sect Master finishes training you, you'll be begging for more every single day, hahaha!" Yaohua Liangjun followed up, his face twisted in a perverse grin.
The iron fan in his hand shot forward, stabbing mercilessly toward Yun Yun's lower abdomen. If that strike landed, her dantian would shatter completely.
Yun Yun clenched her silver teeth, ignoring the agony tearing through her meridians. She tried to forcibly rouse her Dou Qi again but at that moment, a thunderous roar split the sky.
A brilliant golden light erupted from the horizon.
Boom!
A colossal golden shadow crashed down before Yun Yun. Its massive fist, gleaming like molten gold, smashed forward at lightning speed and struck Yaohua Liangjun squarely.
The terrifying force burst outward with a deep, resonant crack, reducing the man's body into a cloud of flesh and blood in an instant.
The entire battlefield fell silent.
Everyone stood frozen, staring in horror at the bloody remains of Yaohua Liangjun—and the towering golden figure standing before them. Even Liu Cang, who had come alongside him, recoiled in terror, hastily retreating.
"The dogs of the Profound Sky Sect… still as disgusting as ever."
The eight-zhang-tall golden figure raised its head, its thunderous voice echoing across the clearing. From the distant forest, Wei Yang and his group stepped out.
"Heh, once again this guy swoops in right on cue—perfect timing to steal the spotlight," Wei Yang chuckled helplessly.
Xian'er and Ah Da both smiled.
Only Medusa stood there with arms crossed, expression indifferent, her long, narrow eyes narrowing slightly as she gazed at the wounded but stunned Yun Yun and Nalan Yanran.
