The zombie might not have heard her from that distance, but it understood the warning when three more spatial blades appeared around it.
It fled deeper into the building.
Chu Miao did not chase it. Her next lightning bolt was already coming and this one was thicker than the previous strikes.
The air around it distorted as it descended.
Chu Miao reinforced her protective array.
The bolt struck.
BOOM!
The remaining upper floors of the hotel collapsed.
Dust rose into the sky.
The protective array shattered, and Chu Miao fell with the broken roof.
She created a spatial platform beneath herself and landed on it.
Concrete and steel continued falling around her.
With a wave of her hand, she moved the debris away and cleared an open space in the middle of the destroyed hotel.
The building was now much shorter, but it was still standing.
"That saves me the trouble of coming down later," she muttered.
