Inside the New World, every country felt the rising tension. Charlotte Katakuri felt a headache coming on as he processed the news from Ichiji. The Straw Hat Pirates had exceeded his expectations once again. It appeared they had forced their way through the Calm Belt to reach the North Blue in only a few days—a move that left everyone shocked. While it was an incredible feat, it was exactly the kind of bold action a powerful group like theirs would take. However, they moved so quickly that no one had time to react.
"This situation is very difficult to handle," Katakuri muttered to himself. "Even if I lead a team myself, I cannot defeat them. Going there would just be throwing my life away. I must tell Mother. Even if she scolds me, it is better than the alternative.".
Katakuri went to find Big Mom. She was busy eating sweets, but she lost her appetite the moment she heard the news. Even the picky Emperor had to admit that the Straw Hats' plan was clever. They had struck right at the heart of the problem. Germa 66 had tried to threaten Zeff and the Baratie in the East Blue, so the Straw Hats simply went to Germa's front door to see who was really in charge. If Germa did not listen, the Straw Hats would destroy the kingdom without a second thought. This was the terrifying reality of facing an Emperor.
"Mother, this was my mistake," Katakuri said, blaming himself. "I did not predict their actions.".
"Well, well! I do not blame you, Katakuri," Big Mom replied, surprisingly calm. "I suppose the only ones I can truly predict are Sengoku and Whitebeard. You are not as experienced as them, so it is natural to make a mistake.".
"Mother, what should we do now?" Katakuri asked.
"We go and fight the Straw Hats, of course!" Big Mom stood up, her voice booming. "They refuse to marry into our family and they keep insulting us. We cannot let this go. Katakuri, organize the fleet immediately! Leave a few people behind and have everyone else follow me to the North Blue. The war has begun!".
"Yes, Mother! I will get ready right away!" Katakuri felt his blood boil. Even though the Straw Hats were growing stronger, the Big Mom Pirates were not afraid. Their last encounter had been small, and while Big Mom had been knocked into the sea by Luffy, this would be a real war of strength between two massive crews. He refused to believe that Totto Land's decades of history could be defeated so easily.
Big Mom suddenly stopped him. "Katakuri, contact Kaido and Blackbeard. See if they want to join us.".
Katakuri's eyes widened. "Mother, do you really want to...".
"The Straw Hat Pirates have two leaders at the top level," Big Mom said seriously. "You still cannot defeat Straw Hat Luffy or Carl on your own. I would be at a disadvantage fighting both of them at once. The rest of their crew isn't weak either, so our chances of winning alone are not great.".
Katakuri realized how high his mother's fear of the Straw Hats had grown for her to make such a choice. He called Kaido and Blackbeard himself, and to his surprise, both agreed to join the fight. It seemed all the Emperors recognized the threat the Straw Hats posed. Soon, the three groups began to move, and the New World became a sea of chaos as people wondered what would happen next.
On the Moby Dick, Marco rushed toward Whitebeard. "Pops, the Big Mom Pirates, the Beast Pirates, and the Blackbeard Pirates are all moving at the same time! I don't know what's happening!".
Ace, Vista, and the other captains looked serious. Whitebeard sat quietly for a moment, a wise look in his eyes. "Linlin is truly crazy," he said. "She is going to war with the Straw Hats.".
"War with the Straw Hats?!" Ace was shocked and immediately began to worry about Luffy
"Gurarara! What else could it be?" Whitebeard laughed. "Marco, you told me about the tea party. Linlin tried to force a marriage, but the Straw Hats hit her back so hard she lost face. She cannot let it go, but she also isn't confident she can win alone.".
"So she teamed up with Kaido and Teach!" Marco realized.
The captains quickly understood the danger. Facing three Emperors at once would be incredibly risky for the Straw Hats. Ace grabbed Whitebeard's hand, looking anxious. "Pops, let me go! I have to help Luffy!".
Whitebeard patted Ace on the head. "Gurarara! Silly boy, do you think I will just sit here? The Straw Hats saved you, and they were kind to us. If they are in trouble, I cannot turn a blind eye. What would that say about Whitebeard's honor?".
The captains straightened their backs, full of fighting spirit. Whitebeard stood up and raised his blade, Murakumogiri, high into the air. "My sons! Set sail! That b*****d Teach has stolen enough of our territory. It is time to take it back!".
"OH!!!" the crew cheered. They had waited a long time for this day while Whitebeard's injuries healed. Now was the perfect time to strike back while Blackbeard was distracted with the Straw Hats.
In another part of the sea, the Red Force was sailing toward Wano. Benn Beckman put away his pipe, looking concerned. "Captain, is this too reckless? Kaido isn't easy to deal with. He will surely leave guards at Wano before going to the North Blue.".
Shanks smiled slightly. "Then we simply won't let him leave! This is a battle between the Straw Hats and Big Mom. The Beast Pirates have no business being there.".
"And what about Blackbeard?".
"Don't worry," Shanks said, standing at the bow of the ship as his fighting spirit began to flare. "Whitebeard won't just sit idly by.".
