Ruge hadn't really thought about it; she only knew that she'd already gotten used to the idea that as long as she wanted to, she could always get in touch with Ji Yanche right away.
Now that she couldn't reach him, her heart actually started thudding faster.
She was really nervous.
The driver glanced at her in the rearview mirror and asked, "Miss, where are you going?"
Ruge thought for a moment, then reported the address of Ji Yanche's place in Hua Country.
Ji Yanche's main work focus was currently in Hua Country. He lived alone and kept complaining that he didn't like those huge villas.
So he bought a duplex apartment instead.
He'd even given Ruge a copy of the key.
Running up to his apartment door, Ruge pressed the doorbell a few times, but no one answered.
She dug around in her bag and fished out the key to Ji Yanche's place, opened the door and rushed in. "Ji Yanche?"
"Hey, Ji Yanche!"
Ruge searched all around, but didn't find a trace of that guy anywhere in the house.
