Ning Wan had already sat up, but her eyes still held a trace of confusion. The cat in her arms struggled a bit before jumping out and heading directly towards Xi Mohan.
The man watched as the cat gradually approached him, but his brows imperceptibly knitted slightly, emitting a cold aura. The cat, perhaps sensing this, paused and meowed twice at Ning Wan behind it, afraid to take another step forward.
Ning Wan's expression didn't change, but her gaze fell on the white cat. After a long pause, she finally stood up and walked over to the cat, bending down to pick it back up into her arms.
With the cat in her arms, she headed straight for the door, not even casting a glance at the man in front of her, as if he didn't exist. Yet, her manner suggested she might be sulking.
