Things had already started happening on this end, unbeknownst to Alice Turner and Thomas Fisher at the Turner Family; Thomas was chatting with Joe Turner about business matters, while Alice was pulled aside by Sophia Wood for a heart-to-heart talk.
"Benjamin Shaw should know about you and Thomas by now, right? He didn't give you any trouble, did he?" Sophia glanced at the two men sitting not far away and lowered her voice as she asked.
Alice Turner shook her head, "No."
They had already arranged to meet tonight, and she decided that she would clarify everything with that man in one go this evening. He shouldn't be that unreasonable, right?
"As long as there's none." Sophia didn't doubt Alice's words; she has always had great trust in Alice, never questioning or doubting her.
Alice said there was none, so she believed there was none. She was reassured about Benjamin but still held worries about Alice's future mother-in-law, Autumn York.
"What about Thomas' mother? Did she...?"
