Anthony's intent to stop Alice Turner from leaving was quite clear; he wouldn't let her leave with Thomas Fisher and reached out to grab her.
"Your sister just said that everything depends on you." Before Anthony's hand could reach her, Thomas Fisher pulled Alice Turner behind him, blocking Anthony's hand from reaching her.
Anthony gave Thomas Fisher, who obstructed him, a resentful look and said irritably, "I'm talking to my sister, not you."

Annoyed, Anthony glared at Thomas Fisher and stayed rooted to the spot, not moving his feet. He leaned in to look at Alice Turner, who was standing behind Thomas Fisher, with a pleading expression, "Sis! Can't you come home for dinner tomorrow instead?"
