Athena Linton was more doubtful than trusting in her heart. Without considering anything else, the mere fact that she's transferring schools in her senior year is full of suspicions. From the beginning, she felt this matter was not logical.
"It's true." Serena Zimmerman saw through Athena Linton's disbelief, but she could only nod affirmatively and say it's true.
"Mom! You should just tell me the truth, okay? What's really going on here?" Athena Linton always felt there was something fishy about the whole thing. It just didn't seem as simple as her mom made it out to be. She had to get to the bottom of it; she couldn't just leave Golden Morning so cluelessly.
Serena Zimmerman still insisted that what she said was true and didn't lie to Athena Linton. "Everything I just said is true."
She held on tightly, refusing to easily let go.
